Window on passenger side didn't work and the cruise control was non existent so the car was clearly advertised falsely.
Yeah but in an earlier post you said your Vectra didnt have it and was going down the SOGA route lol.. when infact it did have it.

I didn't say it didn't have it, I said it was non existent as in didn't work !

The fact something didnt work is hardly false advertising is it?

The car was advertised as having something ie cruise control, it just hapened to be inop.

If it was advertised as having leather seats when it didnt, now thats a different matter.

You also said it was advertised as having electric windows all round and one didnt work. Again, not false advertising. Just a fault that (I presume) was fixed.

you are one of the reasons I left the motor trade

harveybobles - if you advertise 'cruise control' most reasonable people will take that as 'working cruise control'. You're getting into semantics over whether it was working or not - if the car specifies something, the buyer has the right to expect it to work. The advertiser saying such an old car is 'perfect' isn't helpful either.
Customers are better off without you in the car industry if that's how you describe cars!

I don't think the seller advertised it as 'perfect', the Ebay listing stated 'Simply Outstanding'. Whether or not you perceive that as outstanding for a car in general or for a 9 year old car is another thing entirely.

It's does sound like buyers remorse after your mate has been round and given you reason for disliking a car you originally liked, otherwise you would just be after getting the items not working fixed.

If you do get your money back, then I suggest you take your mate (who has owned 2 of them before) with you next time you buy one.
