Can I return this car?
Hi All,
I purchased a car from an independent dealer after seeing it advertised on eBay.
I wasn't 100% happy as it was described as perfect yet had a small ding, the guy was happy to get this sorted and am booked in to get it sorted in the next few days.
However I've now realised that there are some "extras" advertised in the advert that I don't have, however have paid for. There are all sorts of bits missing, plastic panels in the boot etc too.
I'm really not happy and it has been suggested by a friend that I can return it for a full refund. However I cannot for the life of me find any hard evidence that I can.
My gut tells me it's not as advertised, and missing parts seems a bit  so I feel that I should be able to return it.
Can anyone point me to a link to confirm I can return?
Thanks

What are the 'extras' that are missing?0

Privacy glass, heated seats and also drivers seat isn't adjustable. All these stated in the advert but not on the car.0

Doubtful , ebay offers no protection with car sales.Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0

Privacy glass is quite an easy thing to spot and the seat has to be adjustable otherwise it's a MOT failure (unless it's a fixed seat, such as a kit car).
Did you buy the car over the internet or phone without seeing it?0 -

If it's a trader then goods should be sold as described according to SOGA.
If they bought it online or over the phone they will also be covered under DSR.

I didn't buy it through ebay though?
I noticed it wasn't tinted and assumed I had mis-read the advert, after looking back I realised that I hadn't.
As for the seats I didn't need to turn them on, I assumed (Yes I know I shouldn't have done!) they were there but the guy seemed really nice and was very apologetic about the ding so I just guessed he was a good guy. I just thought I'd have a play with all the buttons when I got home.
And it was only when a friend had a look and said it was missing the plastic panels and cd player wasn't factory and other bits were missing that I started to worry.0 -
They'll just claim the ebay ad contains omissions / error.
Was the car supplied from the factory with privacy tint?Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0 -

Do you mind providing the Ebay item number so we can see the context of the advert as with some adverts things are automatically added.
Regarding the seat, the trader should fix this for you.
To see if you have factory tint, lower the window half way and you can see the difference.0 -
You need to check the car when you buy it - you had ample time to inspect so you have little recourse.
Take a print of the ad with you next time. You'll not return the car as you had chance to see the options weren't there.0
