Along with soft-scrambled eggs, it was perfect.
Other Mums might appreciate pate or similar - whatever her fav food/drinks are that she hasn't been able to eat for the last 9 months.
That and a diamond are the best ideas - i was obsessed with liver the minute i knew i couldnt eat it!! I would be offended at iou's the oh should be helping anyway, and i wouldnt have wanted spa treatment, i didnt want to leave my baby.0 -
The eternity ring tradition is lovely if you have the funds & can avoid "that ring would buy a pram" issues.
Me, I had to take my wedding ring off, which stressed me a lot, and so my husband bought me its twin but bigger in a much lower carat gold. When I'd had our son, we inscribed his initials & date of birth into the ring which became our "maternity ring".
Oooh! A hamper of all the food I longed for and wasn't allowed to eat? Plus a really smelly blue cheese could have taken my nose off the meconium nappies...0 -
Something she has missed. I'd asked my husband to bring in a box of soft cheese and pate...he forgot and I'm still waiting!0
