    Hi Everyone

Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but does anyone know if there is a "Santander I've never had a single problem with you and I have held several current and savings account and one credit card with you, I simply like your often market leading accounts and savings rates club"

If there is I'd like to join it.

Let me guess, I would be the only member?

Start one on facebook, you'll have more members than you'd think.

I can imagine the dilemma of people who have had problems with Santander and then see them have very attractive current account, credit card, student account, and ISA (with the 123 account) market.

You do not have to give them a "permanent" / landline number if you don't want to. Just your mobile number will be sufficient.

Turns out Santander won't allow me to remove a landline number on my online account. Luckily I have a branch one minute from work.

Just change the landline number to your mobile number (on your Santander account). I know it can be done since I have done it.

Nobody can be forced to have a landline number, nobody can be refused a current account because their phone number is not a landline number.

    They are a bit wary.

I setup a new person today and confirmed it by txt.
    I transferred £1.
I then transferred some more money.
I think it was on the 3rd transfer they rang my home number. Once I confirmed the money went thru instantly.

Why you would appear to take umbridge to my tongue in cheek comments, I have no idea....

I took the Piccadilly line to Umbridge once. But it left me in Rayners Lane.

However, if you change or lose your mobile, you could be in trouble because the change of number involves sending a confirmation code to the old number, I believe.
You can get your mobile number changed in branch if you have any photo-id (passport etc). I had to do this when my mobile number was somehow 'scrambled' during the A&L to Santander move.

Do people seriously not know how to split quotes?
There really is no need to reply three different times quoting different parts of a message, or a new message.

    I did search.

    And found them.

Which is why I was jokingly asking if I could join the club.....

You didn't reflect that in your OP though. You came across as serious.
