Is he interested in working outdoors? My older son (19) has been WWOOFing (Google it, nothing to do with dogging). Great CV fodder. Mine has been spent time on a smallholding in Oxford and on a huge country estate on Jura and loved every minute of it. I bet there is something near you if he's interested.

Mine is doing a sixth form induction at the moment. Got herself a job (starts Saturday....Friday is a trip to primark to kit out :/)

Besides that we have a holiday booked in August... she has to help round the house when needed...then of course there is the boyfriend. They spend the rest of their time on the xbox, lazing around and making a mess.
But I do get endless cups of coffee and she cooked the kids dinner yesterday :P

At our school as soon as the Standard Grades (Scottish system) study leave finished the kids went straight into the Higher curriculum for the last weeks of the term. Why waste a month of school after all? Most kids have a pretty good idea what they'll be taking the following year, might as well get started on it.

Mine is on the sofa with the Xbox. I really don't mind, he has worked tirelessly for the past few weeks and as far as I am concerned he deserves a long break before he gears up for 5 AS level to add to the one he already has.

Mine is still getting up and coming on the school run! Being Aspergic, he likes to keep to his routine, so going on the school run is an important part to starting his day.

After that, he is helping me with the shopping, helping my parent's with odd jobs they need doing and working on an idea for a possible performance in 6th form (he is a music student and they have to put on performances)

He had been bored (a very dangerous thing for him to be) but now he is putting his energies into getting a head start on his 6th form studies, he is feeling a little more excited and settled.

He is also continuing his practice with music and uploading new work to his Youtube channel.

Eldest son who has finished his studies (A level), has been working to build up some extra cash for when he starts uni in September, handed over all his books and Ipad Monday morning and was at work within an hour (his last exam was Thursday last week, finalised all other work Friday/Monday morning)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Guess we'll find out now during the summer what the kids are actually capable of cooking. Ours are good at toasties, cheese on toast, bacon on toast, toast and sandwiches :rotfl:

I am noticing the food cupboards are emptying fast.. They can eat a huge amount when floating around at home :0

Although I am sure I am just jealous...if I ate what she did I would be massive...she is a size 6-8..still..even after eating like a fully grown man
