DD still yuk so starting to think she's sickening for something now... Did say her ear hurt, so have mentioned it to nursery and they will call me if I'm needed.
We had a few off days with Squeak, she was going mad saying her throat hurt on Sunday and spent most of the day asleep and has been her usual naughty self since.
Though she is walking around at the moment stropping 'It's not fair!' ... I don't know what isn't fair, it is obviously distressing though lol.
Moomin away on her residential.. Hopefully she has everything she'll need.. bar a coat... lol.. crap... knew I'd forgotten something!! Oh well...
Tiddles cost me a fortune this morning.. Dance lesson, disco ticket and she wanted a school fleece because Moomin has one.
I was collared by Moomins new teacher this morning .. apparently it is sports day on Monday (her first day at the new school) and what races should she be put in.. Moomin was NOT impressed, my children don't 'do' sport of any kind!! Anyway.. seeing as she doesn't run she had been put in to the egg and spoon race..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

:rotfl::T i meant DD3, i kept finger on caps lock too long.
you would want one like her, shes lovely. Well they all are but shes never given me an answerback or a moments worry in her entire life so I do feel richer for having her.
I know all five are wonderful and i wouldnt change anything about any of them because they are all equally loved but they are all different which is is just what you want as a parent really, a set of clones wouldnt be any fun.
just had to edit my original post as id given myself an extra child, DH always said we should have evened the teams up and had another boy, i always felt one was missing when i did head counts but funds wouldnt allow so my 'Beth' never got to be (Dont know why but after having 3 girls i decided i loved the name Beth so my next girl would be one, so i promptly had 2 boys)
oven now clean (shelves are still festering in their bag upstairs, ill do them later) laptop has been collected
going to grab another cuppa
hope the egg and spoon goes well pigpen, at least they cant force you into the parents race you have a valid reason not to take part.SPC~12 ot 124

Re sports day
That's one thing the school I work at does really well - we don't do classic sports day - there are a load of activities out for children to take part in ( KS1 are accompanied around in groups by an adult - KS2 get to go round on their own) - last week I ran the 'throw the Velcro ball at the target' activity for KS2. The KS2 kids carry round their own score sheets and there are medals for the highest scoring boy/girl in each year group. No kid ends up feeling useless because they've come last. It is brilliant - and not an egg and spoon race/conventional race to be seen.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

DD was playing in the garage earlier this year, I'd been pottering and not heard her so went to see what she was up to, she was sat surrounded by books so I said "you look very busy" and she replied "I am busy. And beautiful." :rotfl:
Very funny!! My 2 year old niece was excited to hear I was visiting and said to my sis "Auntie Bonnie's coming to see my lovely face" :rotfl:

The current school do it like this.. I hate it.. Moomin has cerebral palsy and other mobility issues so she isn't bothered about not being first so long as she is not left out and gets really stressed in a 'team' when she is slower than the others and they are all shrieking at her to go faster.
It is just what works for different children isn't it but traditional sports days with the option of opting out is fine by me.. I loathed sports days... I was always last at everything but that was not the problem.. I didn't like being exposed in my pe kit outside in front of parents.. I also struggled with running and often ended up with sprained ankles and the like.. we are just not an athletic family lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

welcome Amanda, im sure you'll fit right in.
everyones family and home circumstances are different so you can adapt or tweak the lists to suit what you want or make up your own.
i find it helps posting what ive done or crossing things off the lists so even if i dont manage everything, i can see ive achieved a lot.
got to get ready for work now, just nipped upstairs and the bag ive left in the bath now looks like its full of black treacle and what look like clean shelves will wash off after work.SPC~12 ot 124

Right, well I have been a lazy mare and have failed to do anything so far today, and only the bare minimum yesterday. Really need to get myself motivated though as we have a policeman coming round later (our car's been damaged, again *sigh*) and he may well arrest me for severe slobbiness if I'm not careful :rotfl:
We also have friends coming round at the weekend and next week  so at some point I should probably try to dig out the bed in the spare room.... Oh the joy!
