Regretting buying car from dealership

Quick update:
Car is with them for the week and they are sending the turbo to a specalist place to get reconditioned/repaired. Should I be entitled to a reciept and garentee in writing from this work once it is complete (in case I have further problems down the line)?
Only issue i am worried about is the ammount of oil that was burnt in the exhaust, and this could of damaged the catalyst. The other issue is that the oil has gone to the cylinders and the high pressure (from added volume) could of bent the rods and affected the compression. Can I ask them to do a compression check after the job is completed to make sure there is no damange to the engine?
I agree with these. Repairs should carry warranty going forward from the repair date. Unfortunately, they inevitably don't. Same for phones, cars, blah blah0
