Morning all
13 may be an unlucky number but 13 is the amount of days until I am loan free :-)
Sitting on the bus in a vest top feeling a little chilly!!! Might be nice to have a cooler day.
It is only day 2 of the holidays and I am already feeling the guilt that I have no time off with the kids :-( to compensate I am frantically trying to arrange cheap holidays for next year so I actually have time with them when they aren't at school. It is unfortunate that I have had 3 weeks off this year already and only one was in a half term. I vow never again to get in a situation where I can't have a week of in the summer hols again.
Money has improved as I got my £134 child benefit money yesterday. £34 gone out for my mobile, £30 for shopping and I have to pay £43 for DD2s swimming on Thursday. So it won't go far. Hubby is paid on Thursday though which helps!
We have a meal out tonight for my uncles wedding anniversary. I am really looking forward to it though we could do without the cost!

Hi OF
Oooo your getting so close to the loan free date it must be a great feeling
Try not to feel bad about not having time off With the kids just make sure you do some nice things at the weekends. We've been out the last 2 weekends with our friends and there kids to some parks in the surrounding towns had such a great time, oh and we bought a swimming/paddling pool DS had some birthday money left and wanted to get it so we put the rest to and it's been a great crowd pleaser lol probably didn't do any good for the water meter but on the plus side it does have a filter so at least we can leave the water in and not have to keep refilling it
Take care and enjoy your meal out x***** on the road to debt freedom *****

Morning all
11 days until I am loan free
Choc- **waves madly**
Mrs S - I am sure you will be following me soon!
Bella- I agree....the best thing is to make the most of the time I do have. Tomorrow I pick them up at 1pm and then that's us for the weekend. I asked them what they want to do and they just want to go to the park. So maybe that and some baking tomorrow
The meal out was lovely on Tuesday. £41 for the 4 of us is total so not too devastating.
Hubby's payday today! Woohoo. His last small shop in mr s and then at the weekend we will be buying for August which is supermarket free!
This will be such a challenge but a real eye opener in regards to shopping locally.
The girls had a lovely day at SILs yesterday and had the day at my mums today. So they have had fun

Evening all,
I was not best pleased with the forums being read only last night as I wanted to post.
9 days until the loan has gone!!! :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
I have had a nice day. My stepmum came round for a coffee and a chat and then we went to this new butcher a friend recommended and spent £24 on meat. He is quite expensive but we are going to make the most of it. My biggest issue at the moment with not using a supermarket for a month is finding out where to buy yoghurts as my girls are fussy!
Hubby is making a lovely three course meal for me at the moment so I am very excited
Tonight I will meal plan using the meat we have just bought and tomorrow we will go to the farm to get some veg.
I have been researching children's savings accounts recently. When we are sorted I want to use the £135 a month we get in child benefit to put into savings for them.
My idea is to have a long term account each that they have no involvement in which hubby and I can put money into which they can use for a house or uni later on. Then I am looking at a h@lifax saver each which will be an account to teach them about savings. In this we will put a little bit a month that they can watch grow and they can add money from their pocket money or birthday money etc. H@lifax allow the kids to have a cash card so if they do want to take money out they can be a part of that and will see their money decrease etc. Then I am going to have a wedding account to start savingThis won't be much as a monthly amount but every so often we could through £50 or so in. This will be a help when those days finally come
Out of the £135 I am thinking;
£20 Weddings
£25 for Hubbys son
£10 DD1 normal saver
£10 DD2 normal saver
£35 DD1 long term saver
£35 DD2 long term saver
I am not sure whether to start this soon or to wait until we are debt free early next year!
