As soon as I seen the words "no backstitch" I thought of HAED.
My advice if you ever do one - do with smaller projects so you are not constantly on it. I am doing a rotation just now - the learning sampler (love my magnifier I got for the 36hpi) - but it is coming out in 18 month parts and my winter sampler (to be followed by the other seasons).
I will probably have to throw in a couple of birth stitches and a wedding one - need get this one done for next Friday so - no other stitching.
Well better get on with some work - been at training this morning and I am off tomorrow so have to get tomorrows essential stuff done today.
Keep well all

But I can't help but think it might be a bit adventurous for me to try? Have any of you done any? They are HUGE!!!! How long did they take?
A LOOOOOOOOOONG time. Unless you are Louise, who stitches faster than anyone else, but even so :rotfl:
If you have a look in our Flickr group you'll see a few of us have done or are still doing them. Mine is the black and white one, or monochrome monstrosity as it has become known
So far, it's taken at least 6 months just to do the first row of pages. (There are 36 pages of pattern, I've done 6 so far....) But I don't get masses of time to stitch and I do try to do other things in between times. Sweetcarer's right - you've got to, otherwise you'd go mad.
But if you want a design that looks stunning with no back stitch or detailing, HAEDs are the way to go! After all, it's only cross stitch - you just have to think of it in small blocks at a time so you don't get overwhelmed with the whole thing :T0 -

Ahhh amazing. I remember seeing the pictures on here and thinking 'wow'. I think I'm going to do it. I've spent an inordinate amount of time today staring at 2 of the pictures. I'm enchanted, bewitched and pretty much in love. How on earth do you go about getting all of those threads? One supplier? Or multiples?
This is going to be bad news for you lot.... cue the million stupid questions!!0 -
ADVICE PLEASE
I've just been told on another website that my stock id too expensive and that I need to lower my prices.
All my stock is checked with 12 retailers plus amazon and eBay and I have matched if not lower than them, can you have a look and tell me honestly what you think about prices.
I'm really gutted about this but on a bright note the local paper are running an article on me and coming for an interview tomorrow

I'm not too sure about the prices but i'd ask the person who said it exactly where they find it cheaper.0 -

That is a great website. Only 40p per skein. Or even cheaper if you buy 50 or 100. I already have lot of threads so being able to get extra ones from here would be great.
I have spent a lot of today getting my threads sorted out so that I know what I have before buying more. However I am not letting myself buy anything until I have done my eagle.0 -
Just looking at the anchor kits the 1st range are all £4.50 on ATS, the Peter Rabbit Bookmark is £7.50 on there and the Me to You wedding sampler is £12, I only compared with ATS as I was on the site at the time. I'll have a better look at the weekend when I've more time. I'm really not trying to put a downer on your business I wish it was me running one, I wish you lots of luck. When I started selling online i quickly realised you can't beat everyone, I wonder how people make money half the time :rotfl:
I started the Peter rabbit book mark tonight!!! It was a present, the price tag wasn't removed (husbands, tut) and it was £9.99 from hobby craft.
