Yesterday seemed to get lost in a shopping trip, finalising my food order (which is being delivered today ) and a night out. Apart from the wrapping of the gifts and the housework oh and picking my party outfit for my work xmas party , I think that's me done for xmas :rudolf:
My shopping trip yesterday was quite successful - managed to get everything on my list plus a couple of surprise gifts. What I couldn't get in town @mazon has saved the day with vouchers- Had contemplated popping back into town today to get a book for my OH that I saw yesterday and mistakenly thought he already had but w@terstones price is £20.00 and online @mazon price is a mere £12.65 - even cheaper if you own a kindle (he doesn't so had to opt for the tree version). Its crazy that online prices are so much cheaper and makes me fear for the high street option. I've already spent £5.00 more on a book yesterday just so I can get it in my paws straightaway and have it wrapped ready for my OH to open on xmas day.
I'm still undecided about stitchy plans for xmas - not sure any will get managed today but hopefully if I spend today doing boring housework, I can do lots of stitching on xmas eve :j My OH has also said he will give me money for xmas so in January, I might pool my savings and my Christmas money and treat myself to the complete set of DMC threads. Or I might upgrade my ipod touch. Decisions decisions!
So if I don't get on again, may I wish you all a festive and relaxing stitchy break over the coming days and big festive hugs and love to all xxx0 -

They are great,I bet the teachers were pleased at something different, especially as pretty as these,my friends daughter is a teacher and she never has to buy any smellies as she gets so much given.
We don't have The Range near us but I have been in when on holiday its
brilliant for crafty things.
I was just thinking I had everything organised when I looked at calendar and realised we had been invited to a friends granddaughter nighttime doo on day after Boxing Day,no present bought or card. aghhhh!,,,
Keep calm.
Keep stitching. X0 -

Quick post to say that I got my Nativity scene framed - £3.50 for a frame at The Range, and it's really good quality for the price.
Another couple of decorations I finished. I also used more of these frames for stitched teachers gifts.
What a bargain. The frame really sets it off. The stitched decorations are delightful and I'm sure will be much appreciated0 -
I picked up this from the framers yesterday. It's a UFO I managed to finish this month and it will be a present.

I also made the pocket with the Hello Kitty motif and attached it to the apron this afternoon.

Hello girls, sorry I haven't been around much this week. Made a point of popping in now before things get hectic again from tomorrow.
Maise - lovely cards :T
Louise - great pics as usual :T. My Nativity pic has got pride of place on the mantlepiece. I picked up my frame from Ikea and I don't think it was too expensive. I think it was from the Ribba range. I got the huge Sleeping Beauty frame from The Range and that was quite reasonable considering its size I thought.
fos - lovely pics too. :T I'm sure the recipients will love them. I know what you mean about no Strictly. I really enjoyed the final last night though.
I had planned on doing all sorts today to make things easier over the next couple of days. Did I do it? The answer to that question is a big fat NO. This afternoon I found myself drawn onto fleabay looking at stitchy things. Do I need any more items. Again the answer is a big fat NO. It hasn't stopped me adding things to watch list for future ref though- watch this space.
Hugs to everyone who needs an extra one at this time of the year. I think people do not realise that this time of the year can be difficult for some. Even though we do not forget our loved ones who are no longer with us - in time things do get a bit more manageable. Sorry if that sounds naff.
Take care everyone,

Louise -Baby in a Manger is lovely and I really like the two tree hangings.
Fos - your picture of the village looks like a fantastic art work. Hard to believe it's cross stitch.
Well busy weekend for me. Did all my food shopping on saturday and then some ironing and today I have cleaned the house upstairs including all the windows so just downstairs to do on Tuesday. Tomorrow is present wrapping as DS2 will be at nursery and we are taking DS1 to see The hobbit part 2 (watched part 1 again last night to refresh us as to where it had got to).0 -
Whoops - a couple of items I was 'watching' fell into my basket and I accidently pressed the 'buy now' button.
Now I will have to wait patiently for postie to bring me a sampler with different types of stitches on (nothing as lovely as sweetcarer's btw) and some evenweave (I'm going to try and use this a bit more during 2014).

I met my first great-nephew today, he's 16 days old and a little beauty ! His mum and dad have painted one wall of his bedroom with a jungle theme. Luckily I managed to find a baby birth sampler cross stitch kit with cartoon-y jungle creatures on it, which I will get done and framed ready for his first birthday.
But first, I fancy doing something small but very detailed - need to go and raid my stash. Might post pics of a few and let you choose for me ?0 -
