  • Really enjoying reading all your posts tonight - though sorry to hear about the sad stuff hugs too (((((ginny)))) especially.

Helloooo Mrs Chip and a Happy Christmas to you. You have added to the specialness of this evening by posting, thank you.

Thanks for your message pops, as you know your in box is full (what's new? ha ha) so can't PM you but just wanted to wish you the best Christmas you can have.

All the essentials are done and house is reasonable, worked quite hard today, wanted to keep busy. Only 2 things I didn't get to do, mop the grotty kitchen floor and prep the veggies but those things are just chores and aren't at all important as kidcat said so aptly.

Kidcat sorry your cleaners let you down... can you try another company in the new year?

We exchanged our family cards to each other as usual this evening and then watched the Snowman and the Snowdog eating mince pies and biscuits from the special tin (as boys call it) and I read to DS7 and sang lullabies afterwards, DS9 is reading still on his own.

All the preps for Santa coming are done- treats left out for him and reindeer, sacks hung up and home made "santa please stop here" posters on the boys' window. DH is watching a film that I don't want to so I get to play on here for a little while. Couldn't be happier this evening.

Plan to drop by tomorrow if anyone fancies a little banter or a hug. Best check on DS9, he has terrible trouble getting off to sleep at the best of times.

Could anyone pop round to my house with some sleeping pills or something to get my DD to sleep. I really don't want to wait until 2am till I can get the presents out of the garage and put them in their sacks. In fact I'd quite like to go to bed now please.

You have my empathies possession. DS9 is usually the same but was asleep when I checked just after 10 or whenever it was I last posted. We don't trust them both to stay asleep though as often get up for the loo before midnight so are hanging on til then.

Reading until his eyes get heavy is the only thing that works for DS... would it work for your DD? sorry forget her age. Fingers crossed for you...

DO doesn't sleep at best of times Christmas is justified final straw. We won't be able to get gifts out into at least 3am and then he will be up by 5am. This year santa is deliveries to the dining room which I can lock at least.

Ginny huge hugs I can only imagine the pain you feel.

Its been lovely to hear from everyone today.

As predicted DS9 woke up a while ago upset that he wouldn't get back to sleep and Santa wouldn't come. DH insists DS doesn't believe in him but he does a great job pretending he does if that's the case! He has just dropped off so will wait for a bit, cross fingers and go for it. Kidcat.... hoping that you get a few hours shut eye.

Oh and of course Merry Christmas one and all!
  • I have enjoyed reading along with you all during the year. I hope you and your loved ones have a lovely Christmas!
