thats the one I bought fuddle - it worked on our vile dining carpet in the last house after DS9 was in a toilet refusal mode, we hired carpet cleaners, bought one, scrubbed by hand and nothing worked but that stuff actually cleared the smell :)
  • Morning all.
My chest sounds like a steam train this morning, wheezing and splurting.. going to have a hot steamy shower and dose my self up.. as much as I would love to stay in bed it not an option. We have our family portrait today, sil is down from Scotland , people taken time of work etc, hubby wanted this done as a way of remembering him so I will soldier on..

Fuddle, would steaming Help the carpet?
    Hugs

Oh excellent thank you both. Well worth a try :)

A water filter will definitely be cost effective then. On the list for next months pay :)

I've never steam cleaned Cornish. I've seen a demo and it fascinates me. I dare not even think about getting one - everything will be cleaned and obsessively. Am I the only sad person that likes to watch cleaning demo's and gets satisfaction of seeing the dirt go?

    Hi all.

I haven’t posted in a few days because I kind of took my comment to fuddle to heart and convinced myself that fuddles reply was a intense dig at me. (Milking the system) I’m hoping that its just my mind playing tricks on me & that none of you OS think that of me. Before it causes any issues, I would like to point out, This is another side effect to my depression and the most genuine comments with no bad intent seems to put me on a downer.

Having very much a tough week here. Many of you will remember that I posted a few months back about OH brother (Who he has no contact with) was arrested for a disgusting & unspeakable crime. Wednesday was his court date and he got 5 years. We really heard the truth (This brother is a compulsive lair) and its destroyed everyone around us.

I’m really worried about OH. Because its all over the local news down here and in the local paper. Its everywhere he turns. My OH is a loving, gentle man with no hurtful feelings in his body. His brother is the complete opposite. OH is showing no emotion at all. All he says is that he’s fine and his worried about the remaining members of his family. He also suffers with depression and I’m on tender hooks & worrying myself silly that this is going to effect him massively.

I’ve also had a knock of confidence with my counselling this week. The week before I done an exposure assessment and my counsellor is concerned how I withdrew from myself. She has now suggested that I would need a second course of therapy after my sessions end.

I feel I’m failing at everything in my life at the moment.

I don’t expect sympathy - Just letting me come here and vent does the job nicely. I don’t want the trolls to be convinced that I am doing / sharing this for everyone to take notice.

Everything is lacking lately. I have our estate agents coming out today and suspect that this visit might not go well. We have carpet throughout the entire house and the front lawn is completely clogged. Therefore, Even taking shoes off at the door has resulted in the cream carpets being dirty.

Problem is, with Christmas around the corner, Its impossible to find the time to get the vax around the house.

Anyways, Better make a start on tonights diner.
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy

Been skim reading and not posting, just sending quick cyber hugs to all that need them
    Must use my stash up!
  • Princess. Feel free to vent, sometimes just writing it done helps. Therapy takes time, and like cleaning junk from a room, it sometimes looks and feels worse before things start to take shape and find an order.iykwim

Fuddle. I love my steam cleaner, i was fascinated by the late night "the power of steam" adverts on the shopping channel.

  • Hi all :) Just catching up as usual. We had two lovely days this week and the grass was dry so I went out to the garden and cut the grass and my dh thought I was mad when he heard the mower going :) I was in the mood for doing it. My wee neighbour (in her eighties) had her son up and he was busy cutting hers too at the same time, so dh agreed it must be okay then:) He wanted to do it but I felt up to it and took my time and got loads of weeding done too. Looks great now and I can look at a gardening catalogue to see if I can find something nice to put in the back garden in Spring. Our wee dog passed away a few months ago and we couldn't really add any plants to the back garden then. There are lovely bushy trees there and some colour would be nice. Have a good weekend everyone and a big hug for anyone who could do with one. Margaret xx

Princes you're not allowed to be sensitive over my sensitive. You did nothing wrong, you caused no offence and you didn't insinuate a thing out of the ordinary.

What happened was I cringed at the thought of being an expert at how to write off debt. That's my issue and all I wante to point out was that I wasn't but I can help with support ant gaining strength and determination in the process because it leaves it's toll. That issue then got mixed in with my comment over the really good idea of a community scheme for low earners to be able to access food at near cost price. It was then that I mentioned people milking the system and ruining it for those in real need. ie 'what's the point of trying to get off benefits when I can get stuff for 70% less' The issues were seperate

Wipe that worry away. You've enough to worry about.

Princess your OH will appreciate your support. Instead of asking him how he is give him a hug often because human contact can help the healing process (same goes for you). It will all die down eventually. Just hold your heads up and ignore nasty comments.

Fuddle I have a steam cleaner and It cleans my laminate in a flash and it dries quick too. I think if you were obsessed it would only last a short while because you have so much else to do. They are great for cleaning the oven too.
  • Just to add that I am so so sorry to hear of how tough some people here are having life right now. I do hope things improve for you all, and I genuinely mean that. xx
