Possession, you should be able to claim back, for the last 6 years, worth looking into. Someone on here gave me the advice about claiming for the home (can't remember who now, so sorry), it's a set amount and useful for a sole trader such as myself. It means I don't have to list every single silly expense.

Congrats on passing your course fuddle!!

I have been a bit torn lately with prioritising tasks -lots of winter prep needs doing including mega de-moulding (yuck I know), Christmas stuff, DS6's birthday plans, food stock up etc alongside the usual stuff. I am dividing the day into chunks to get a bit done from each category but tomorrow has to be dedicated to house cleaning/tidying before guests on Sunday and finishing birthday preps.

I have found our condensation problem hugely improved with more heating so although our bill will be higher (and dreading it) I have decided to keep the heating on low for a big chunk of the day. I have to think of our health and cut back on other stuff to afford the extra gas. So fed up of battling condensation and mould.

I am experimenting though with ways to keep the heat in. Today is the downstairs loo (no heating and mostly outside walls so very brrrr.) I have bubble wrap to put up on the window which has no curtains and had 2 tea light lanterns on al lday which are helping. I remembered I bought some little mats to play about with from a certain Swedish store as well but can't access them in the spare room at the mo (don't ask!) Hoping all measures will add up to a noticeable difference.

I'll look into it. I don't do a tax return, as I'm not self-employed, so haven't ever thought about it TBH.

hi, just in from work. My mum had DD, and tomorrow is taking her to the doctors to get her nose checked as there is some thick green discharge that is vile smelling. She has eaten a little and seams happy in herself just very sleepy. She says her nose smells disgusting.

I have a small shift tomorrow morning again. My mum will be child sitting.

    take care x

Poor Miss Nutty. She isn't having much luck with it, is she? Hope they can get her sorted quickly.

    Evening all

Fuddle - well done on passing the course!

Possession - how did DS take the bad news?

Nutty - poor miss Nutty - sounds nasty.

I popped into h0bbycr@ft today for a mooch, they had latch hook kits to make cushions, reduced to £5 - bargain!!! Ideal craft for kids and adults. The latch hook tool you need to use was £3 so a fab crafty gift. (on their website too)

DHs scooter battery ran out at the furthest point from the car (typically) so I had to push him back, not easy as its not designed to push - back ache now!

DD1 has just gone to work, DD2 is getting ready to run the tuck shop at the village youth club so we have a few hours to ourselves this evening. Tv and Internet off, CD on, a couple of candles and some "us" time. Although we're together all day every day, sometimes it's nice to sit and actually talk.

Fuddle sorry I missed your news, congratulations!

Pooky he cried his eyes out. But I'd got him a little picture of both the fish painted for Christmas, and I gave him that which seems to have helped a little bit.

    Awww bless him.

We've had lots of fish over the years, some lasted a day, some a year or so....we had one weather loach who jumped out of the tank, looked like he'd broken his back as he had a huge hump, but he rallied round and kept on swimming......8 years later he's still swimming and I gave him to the local nursery as we were running a tank just for him.

Congratulations fuddle, another string to your bow when you go job seeking!

Seem to have slipped off the wagon lately, havent been keeping receipts or track of what I have been spending, disastrous for me as I tend to run off the scale....need to sit down with myself and sort myself out!

Cold here so just heating living room with fire, found some warm kneehighs the other day, wearing them with leggings so nice and comfy.

    Take care everyone
