  • Morning all,

Its been fairly cold here as well. Its storming today although I did manage to get sheets about halfway dry on the line yesterday. I've been experimenting with putting the washing on a delay start the night before so its finished when I get up and go go out as early as possible. Luckily the location of our wm means it won't be disturbing any neighbours. It does seem to be helping me get through the winter washing mountain.

I believe there is a shingles vaccine for older people, might be worth looking into as I understand it is absolute agony. Bicarb baths--interesting, I think we had oatmeal baths for a similar effect.

I feel like I'm finally getting caught up on some work which is a nice feeling. The poor garden has been entirely neglected, although part of that is because I'm at a loss. Chances are we won't be in this house as of late next summer. I know I won't have much time for gardening over the winter so mostly I think it just needs a tidy up to leave it for the next person.

Big hugs to those who need them. OH has to work Sat. morning so I'm planning to make a big vat of chicken and veg soup. Mine is thick with lots of seasoning--I'll be handing around bowls to those of you who are ill or struggling to eat or just need a nice big bowl of something to keep you warm.

    Morning all!

What a freezing cold morning, ds2 is gutted no snow! so atomping round the house singing "where's my snow!" at the top of his voice. OH is happy there's no ice and asking me about snow days and ds1 just sits and play with his phone saying "stupid bike, up the hill!" then randomly shouting is it snowing yet? mam make it snow. While at the same three cats are wowling at me, pawing at the fridge, in between this the tabby runs to fire, cries at it then dives on me then runs at fridge.

What a wealth of conversation from a 34, 13 and 9 yrs blokes.
Oh well at least its fun and normal well for us anyway!

I'm dreading going out in a bit, have to be at ds1's school for 10:15am brrr not looking forward to it. Its absolutely freezing out there, supposed to be at a life centre but not sure i'll be able to make it.
  • FPK I think the shingles vaccine is only available to the over 70s or over 75s, not sure which and would probably need a little time to become effective after having the shot, Lyn xxx.
  • Oh well, probably not much help then!

Kez, it sounds like a warm and lovely morning. Exhausting...but nonetheless happy;)

Hi everyone, DD has called from the hospital she has managed a slice of toast and a little bowl of cereal. She doesn't feel sick and they allowed her a shower too. She said she feels loads better and wants to come home!!! So hopefully she will be home soon.

Mum is going to stay with her so I can go to work later on, OH will be home not long after I start. I have got tomorrow off again, so DD is fine with it. I have got a vey small shift this week, just 18 hours as I wanted to have time looking after DD. My mum is going to stay with her the remainding time.

  • Morning everybody.

Quick well wishes to Nutty’s daughter, Kezlou, kid cat and gailey.

Hugs to anyone who needs one too

Last night was COLD! During the night I think I checked the temp and it was showing at 0C!

All day yesterday the temp stayed at 2c, Safe to say winter is on it’s way.

Neighbours are having work done to their property next door.

And this morning I gave the workmen a right mouthful. Firstly one of them pulled up so close that he hit our wing mirror on the car. After assuring me that its fine as they move. Another one chucked a large piece of plaster board from the top floor. (Our house is attached to a small block of flats)

It makes me so cross when people don’t consider other people’s safety.

Fact of the matter is, Now there is small broken shards of plaster everywhere outside my home. I have pets which could now face paw injuries & I also have people coming to my home. Its simply dangerous that their allowed to get away with things like this.

    Okay, That’s rant over….

I need to speak to the dentist at some point soon, I have been referred to the dental hospital for my work to be done under sedation, However no one has explained to me what will happen.

This is something that makes my anxiety worse, No knowing what will happen therefore, I am becoming more on edge waiting for answers.

I also have my counselling appointment today. Again, More anxiety because I know its getting nearer to having “exposure” but funnily enough I’m starting to look forward to each session because everyone makes me feel like I’ve over come a huge dark cloud.

Right, That’s enough of my nattering, Better start moving!!
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy
