Remember Paddington from my childhood too, a happy memory:)

Maybe some of you know of this site but it ties in with what we discuss here...

Interesting site Pops, have found a lovely blackberry cobbler recipe on it! We have some wild bramble bushes in our garden, I cannot bring myself to get rid of them so I just cut them back and we get enough of my favourite berries for several crumbles and a few pies each year. On my walks down the lane the bramble blossom does seem to be more prolific this year so am hoping for some good foraging later in the year. Am out of blackberry jam and would love to try bramble jelly. Dear old Mum used to make it as I remember by suspending a muslin between a three legged stool and letting it drip through over night. Does this sound right? She also used to make mint and apple jelly the same way. Delish!

I saw some Pimms no4 today... And was very tempted by the lychee liqueur and elderflower liqueur but I DON'T need them as I only nano them for chocolate making and the weather is all wrong for it right now!

I have got a bottle of elderflower liqueur :o

    :rotfl:

I went through a stage (before money was tight) of buying bottles of strange liqueurs for cocktails. Suffice to say most of them are still on the shelf :D.

Thanks for asking - we all made a fuss of her and reassured her it was not her fault in any way so she has cheered up and is going out with her friends tonight which should take her mind off things.

Everyone enjoyed the pizzas and have cleared up so kitchen looks OK and enjoying a dvd with daughters to lighten the mood a bit.

DDs are desperate to have a barbecue in the garden but the weather has never been good enough so far this year.

    That's good to know Elona...

I've been thinking the thank you button on MSE is ok but sometimes a more appropriate one would be what exists on Twitter...one that allows a post to be favoured.

    1. Is it nice? If you can't remember then go and test it.
    2. Use them for making chocolates!

Mrs Chip perhaps you should open a pub!
We now have raspberry and blackberry plants in the garden - I think the DCs are going to be a little disappointed not to get fruit from them this year.

The elderflower liqueur is nice, but the passion fruit one is nicer :D.

The people before us here had some very strange tastes, and we have got big wooden shelves made from sleepers which look exactly like a pub's drinks shelves, so I put pretty lights around them and all out cocktail stuff is there, including some kitch plastic giraffe swingers (no, not that sort of swingers, the little things that you hang from cocktail glasses!).
