Hello glitterkitty, and welcome to OS board's.£71.93/ £180.000

Thanks for the lovely welcome everyone!
I wanted to have a nice relaxing day today, but no such luck! Fortunately I don't need to go out anywhere which is good, but I have already done one load of washing which is now in the TD and the next load is going in the wash soon.
I had to bring work home over the weekend because I have some time off in the next couple of days so I'm currently sat on my sofa with the candles lit on the fireplace doing the paperwork! I have lots more to do, and I wish I had a laptop cos id probably get more done if I could sit on the sofa doing it rather than in front of the PC in the other room!
Hopefully though I can spend this afternoon doing nothing. BF isn't very well at the moment so I'm doing a fair bit of running around after him. I don't mind though :-)
I'm getting excited now. My 30th birthday is in 78 days and my BF is taking me to London to the Harry Potter Studio tour! Our train tickets arrived yesterday (First Class tickets! Yay!) and I found out that it's the last day of their festive decorations, so Hogwarts will still be covered in snow! I am a big kid at heart but I don't care! :-)the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j0 -
Just popping in to say I feel human today and have managed ten hours sleep. Deep deep sleep and I have no idea if kids got up. I did warn them that if they got up they should wake daddy and if they couldn't they would need come get me.
Glitter we did Harry Potter in the summer it is brilliant but expensive inside. The butter beer is vile. Have a good time.0 -
Morning all
Ginny - got that crochet started yet? No excuses now you've got Internet!!I'm on the scrimping path too, I'm having my annual "oh my god how are we going to cope" wobble.
Kidkat - hope you get some sleep today. Have a lovely holiday x
Did the last Uni viewing with DD1 yesterday, the most local one and she likes it! Just need to get her UCAS application and personal statement sorted and put in now. Then we start looking at 6th forms/ olleges with DD2!
It's silly windy here this morning but no rain, we've only been up for an hour, went to a friends last night for "games night" and a few nibbles, lovely and relaxed and good company. Didn't get in until just past midnight though so very much needed a lie in. Think I will declare today a jimjams day and give myself the day off (the housework will still be there tomorrow)
ETA - I loved the butter beer at HP, ignore Kidkat, she's sleep deprived"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Morning to All(and Glitterkitty):)
I feel nothing in particular at present over the drains fiasco. Other than they are not very nice people sticking notes through doors and avoiding talking to me. And if true, trespassing, taking photo's and having another neighbour involved it puts them way down in my estimation.
I slept the whole night through which always helps. And I am still going out tonight unless something unexpected happens.
Then the fun starts tomorrow...
ETA...Just had a thought. the fact they claim that they found items and took photos at some point why did they not mention it to anyone then? I'm here all the time why did they not come and see me."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Kidcat Im pleased you got some sleep, much easier to cope when you are rested.
Pooky, yes the blanket has begun lol and its so pretty. Yes I think its my yearly panic too, thing is I know I can do better with the pennypinching its just a matter of reining things in. Am making little rag dolls this week and have dug everything I need out of my stash. Really need to sort out my flea bay things too before I disappear under the ton of junk( sorry valuable collectables.
I had a full nights sleep as Dgs slept very well. We have been doing flash cards with him and he can now say triangular prism :rotfl: very useful I dont think. he is one of those children who will shock the teachers when they ask what colour something is and instead of saying purple he will say well its light violet! I am totally to blame for teaching him things beyond what he needs as I did it with my 2 and got told off because Ds drew properley at 4 years old - they said he should be scribbling abnd expressing himself - I told them to teach him to scribble and I would teach him art.Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
hi everyone, had a very busy day cleaning. OH decided he would help!! shocking I know!! We painted out the larder and re covered all the shelves with poundland sticky back plastic in a fake wood effect. It looks so much better.
Stripped the bed, wash and dried and back on within an hour today, and then it started to rain HARD.
OH is laying in a bath of bubbles relaxing, DD is listening and singing very badly in her room. Me well I am at a loose end.
POPS, we too have a problem with the drains blocking. The water board would nearly always be able to trace where things have some from. Keep all the notes as evidence, and if your LA has someone who can write to your neighbours I would let them.
KIDCAT I hope your fully rested today. My OH used to be the same, I eventually made him do all his own things. they soon realise its harder than it looks.
