    Hi KIDCAT,

Guess she will need a size 7 . Tks for asking.

Guess she will also need safety mittens as she just texted asking me to ring her. Turns out she is sitting with her arm elevated as she managed to slice through her finger in dissection class this morning. College asked if she wanted to go to A&E but she said not.
    And breathe...

Just checked these are a size 5, sorry - but if anyone else needs them? They are brand new and seems a shame to waste them :)

I've just bought onesies for our two (6 and 4) from sainsbugs, pack of 2, older age about £16, younger a pound or 2 less. They've washed and dried quite well, am impressed.

I've recently found some fleece mattress covers (got polycotton edges like a fitted sheet and go on the bed the same was as a fitted sheet) that mum gave me a few years ago. They're now washed and waiting for cold weather, so one less thing to buy. The kids have flannelette sheets, too, so will be as warm as toast come the freeze! :D

    A xo

Ive just bought hubby 2 onesies , at Primarks @ .£12 each , thick and fleecy, I didnt think he would wear anything like that , but once I tried the first one on him but was him converted for the winter......:D...He loves it .........

I bought one for my self, i just wear it after a shower , and when I go to bed I take it off , its far too hot of a night, with temps still @ 13 degrees........

Im like POOKY cant handle too much heat in bed , in fact no heat for me , windows wide open , and cold crisp cotton sheet and duvet..............

Lovely warm sunny start to the day , then had half our rain this arvo, now its very bright again, definately not cold @ 18 degrees, no heating again.........Sheila

I'm the same Sheila - windows have to be open, even in the coldest weather, I can't sleep in a closed room. I have a onesie, it's fab, I don't give a monkies what it looks like, it keeps out the drafts and is toastie warm. It's my evening attire in the colder months, I'm not a big fan of bundling up in dressing gowns.

bluebag, we have condensation problems too and have found using a dehumifidier helps a lot. I line dry washing as best I can and finish off drying with the dehumidifier on.

Thanks AOT, sorry about the biscuits, I have saved you some virtual ones (not quite the same as the real thing but zero calories at least ;))

Another part Scrooge! I like Christmas rather than love it, especially for the children but to be honest have never been a massive fan since adulthood, not even sure why. The kids love the traditions and I enjoy seeing their joy but for me it gets a bit samey... the same stuff every year!! I like the feeling of good will and charity etc and special times whatever that means for an individual/family but the commercialisation and pressure etc I can't be dealing with. I can't bear seeing Xmas stuff in the shops straight after summer. We put a tree up mid December and that is early enough. I think now we don't see extended family and good friends are busy seeing theirs, I actually feel a bit sad and also think of homeless people etc and try to donate in whatever small way we can. We only buy presents for our children, nephews/nieces (not the adult ones) and a couple of small gifts for close friends' children (4 kids). We will make teachers some cookies or something and that's it. Now way would we ever rack up debt over it all.

Pooky I can never wear PJs in bed for the same reason, get all twisted up in them. I wear a loose, oversize long nightshirt in cold weather and prefer more layers of bedding for warmth.

    Enjoy your peace and quiet!

We got one a few weeks back Kidkat - it's amazing how much water it takes from the air, I've got it on the landing outside the bathroom and have it on all day (it switches on and off as it needs to) the shower curtain is dry and any shower "fog" is gone within half an hour which makes a huge difference to the rest of the house.

We got ours via @mazon, we wanted a decent sized tank, a low wattage and one that looked ok. I wasn't to worried about noise as its not on at night but they can be quite "hummy" (ours is no louder than our fridge freezer).

I am another one who prefers a cold bedroom, I use a 4.5 tog duvet in winter. As OH likes to be roasting we use single duvets, so he has a 8 tog for summer and a 13 for winter. He's like a small furnace, sometimes I have to get right to the edge of the bed becuse he is radiating heat!:rotfl:. I don't like our bedroom here, as the window opens right onto the road it has to stay shut. I can't sleep in a bedroom with the door shut either, I'm sure it's all psychosomatic but I end up all bunged up.

I have what I call a 'halvsy', its an M&S fleece dressing gown that reaches below my knees, with a zip all the way up and a hood. I could not do the whole onsie thing, I hate being trapped in anything twisty, so no clothes in bed either. It can be quite a shock catching a glancein the mirror as I grope my way to the loo!

((hugs)) shegar - you have been caring for so long, its affecting your own health and your body is reacting to the extreme stress and exhaustion I am sure. Can you manage some real relaxation for your respite in October?

Pooky - thank you, I will do some more investigations into the dehumidifiers, not being able to have windows open I would like to have a way of ridding the house of the condensation from the washing

I am exhausted and so grateful that tomorrow is Friday finally, my whole life is so finely tuned and I feel I am running against the clock. My friends all looked at me funny today when I reeled off a list of timings, four minutes to drive to DD bus stop, six mins home, 12 minutes to get washed, dressed, hair done etc in the morning.
Every aspect of my day is so measured and I am constantly racing against an invisible timer.
