fingers crossed sq, as you've said most things are simple/nothing to worry about but whatever the outcome you can move forward once you know.

Pink: I went to Al-di for the first time in years this week, armed with my £5 voucher from the reflective red-top and even though I'm a very careful shopper who is value ranges all the way - I struggled to spend the £40 in order to use the voucher - that's for my monthly shop (granted I didn't need any meat as I have plentiful stocks to get through this month) and next time I will NOT take the children as instead of bulk purchasing we bought treats to make it up to the minimum spend. There were things I couldn't find (long-life fruit juice?) but wonderful smoked fish/cheese great fruit and veg and a treat of stuffed olives for me :).

I love christmas, it is a time when I know I'll see my family, and not being with ex means I can properly enjoy the smells and sounds and making wreaths etc. but I don't go near the shops anytime in december and I love a proper run up with autumn appreciated :)
    :AA/give up smoking (done) :)

taurus all councils have a supply of safety fencing that is portable for events etc - they could easily cordon off a walkway surely?

I use Aldi's but being a little "Thick" and I realise prices are probably low because they stick to a limited range of populist items but if they are as popular as they seem and know they have a faithful customer base why can't they sell more items and have some larger branches?

Like Lobbyludd even though my income is limited and I don't buy as much as I once did I still have to make up my shopping at Tesco because many items are not available in Aldi's and on what I generally buy I don't save much and prices are similar.

You would think so wouldn't you? Honesttly I can't believe how daft they are being. For one thing the likelihood of an increase in fly tipping leaps to mind if they insist on restricting access.

Ours requires ID to prove we live in the area because I drive a tank, if I drove a regular car they wouldnt need it, my dad lives out of area but uses ours as he prefers it, but doesnt have to prove he lives here. Its all madness, madness I tell you.

Had my scan and all is clear. So very relieved and feel a bit daft for worrying but I have had so much practice in it (worrying that is) that I am so very good at it. :D

The clinic phoned me at 6.30pm to ask if I could change my apppointment time to 7.30 as they needed to end the clinic early for some reason. DH worked late and wasn't due home til 7pm, wasn't picking up his phone and ditto for my friend who was out on an errand without her phone. Fun and games trying to get a full bladder within the hour, feed the kids and simultaneously find someone to childmind in case DH/friend weren't back in time. Next door neighbour, the only one I know well enough to trust (she is lovely) pulled up in her car at 7pm and offered to watch the kids. Just as my friend pulled up in her car and DH arrived home. Talk about good timing!

Thanks again everyone, couldn't have got through the day without you. catch up on everyone's else's posts tomorrow

    sq:)
