That necklace is great Kate! I have got a bead board but find it more trouble than it's worth for the sort of things I make - but the indents are a handy place to put any of the beads I pick up off the floor, until I can be bothered to put them back in the right pot (there are a lot) :rotfl:.

Got back from Malvern at 9pm, it was a long and tiring day. Was a great show though, a very good mix of stuff indeed. Animals, some fab veg in the show tents, wonderful old steam things that do all sorts, and super vintage caravans, all kitted out to match the time they were built - 30s, 40s 50s, brilliant. If anyone is interested I can post some pics. I would recommend to anyone who likes that sort of thing, it is they best one of that type I have been too.

Saw some jewellery to die for, really lovely stuff, collected a lot of cards so I can look at their stuff online, out of my league both money-wise and making-wise, but lots of inspiration.

Ooh my friend won second prize for her Victoria sponge at that :D

    Lisakay,
All the best with your venture...and the op for OH...sounds a bit of a worry about the neighbour, hope you feel safe.

What a difference a rest makes...if I was given time, I could do so much more. The jabs rarely bother me but I'm sore/tender tonight.

A salad and chips, jacket potato or basically meat and veg would have been enough for me. Quick, easy and no money spent as I think about today.

Isn't it funny what comes into your mind from nowhere...I woke up and thought tomorrow I am going to have some banana sandwiches. I haven't had one of those in years...

  • I don't remember ever having a banana butty, but my dad used to like them.
I don't feel in the slightest bit safe at the minute, that's why I'm still not asleep. The dog wouldn't let anyone in though and I'm pretty handy with a rounders bat ;) It's a very long story and probably wouldn't make much sense if I was to retell it. I'm almost sure the police have set up surveillance in the cul-de-sac directly opposite so nothing is likely to happen.
I'll have to get some sleep soon though, taking the kids to the DIY club tomorrow morning so I'll need to be on the ball for that.

As you say you don't want to be sleepy come morning, I was awake(through choice)most of last night but at least I had slept earlier in the day and can do so again come Sunday morning.

Its a pity I knocked myself out as today there is a big free event on the coast of hundreds of vintage vehicles...just wondering if I should go...would have to leave by 10am. But I would be pacing myself.

    I could recover on Monday.

Best not go into details. But you can do without the situation you're in, you all can. Difficult as you feel unsafe indoors but probably worry about your home when you are not and just when you launch the child minding.

Thinking of you as I am sure come morning everyone on here will be...

As I said its ages since I had a banana butty/sandwich, how you return to food you associate with childhood and out of the blue. I have been wasting fruit again...not good. Found a place where there were loads of brambles just waiting to be picked today and ripe. I was not in a position to pick them, I may return, its approx 3 miles away and a bus stops close by but its not near a road so safe from pollution.

    Morning all

Fuddle, glad it's just your phone acting up, and that you're ok (barring being busy and rubbish family members!).

I've worked quite a lot this week, paid work that is, and am working today, Mond Tues as well. Am finding that stress and deprssion symptoms have ramped up this week, so glad that after Tues it should calm down! I've handed in my notice for the second job now, purse strings will be tighter, but I will feel so much better!

So many people sounding much worse than me, have a big hug and some homemade scones, freshly defrosted and reheated, with ,ashings of best butter! :rotfl:

Really wanted to go to my friends MacMillan tea party on Friday but had several pieces of bad news so Oh and I decided to hibernate. Posted a donation and card through friends door and she popped over yesterday with a huge ginger/chocolate cake so we didnt miss out. She raised £350 :j and it was really busy, was so pleased for her.

Lisakay good luck with the childminding, yes there is a lot of paperwork - DGs has a fab new minder as his old one doesnt go to the school he is going to. She has a facebook page for parents and grand parents so i get to see what he is upto while he is with her. I have to say the minders he has had have really helped his development and all fell in love with him, they are so caring and Im sure you will be the same. Say hi to your Mum for me and I hope the problems are resolved quickly in your neighbourhood and you feel safe again soon xx

My Dil has just asked me to help with the blessing they are having next year so have lots of crafty makes to look forward to next year. Just got to get the pile of stuff in the living room to pack off to various charities and I will be sorted. Apparently the post office are chaing their rates so you will be able to send bigger parcels for less soon :j

wow Kate that necklace is lovely :)
sevenup - you are a wonderful mum, I know I'm not easy to live with when very ill, not in the same way but I know teenager's brains react differently. When I was very, very ill, I was put under the care of a psychiatrist, and they had support groups for family members, I wonder if there might be something similar near you, people who would understand completely the very difficult world you are living in? ((hugs))

Lisa Kay - keep safe. great news on the childminding!

lovely sunny day here, crisp and bright my favourite kind :)dd off to party, and I ate the fruit of a passion flower yesterday - seeds are delicious :) so free vit C! hope the sun is with you all.

I been MIA recently, not really in mood to sit and yak, not sure why. Maybe autumn because I hate it.
Shegar I hope you're ok - how did you get on with the reading you got?? I was at a workshop yesterday and we were practising doing psychic reads. My reader said "Ok first thing I get is this really grumpy man" ...:D - then she said "and for some reason I see him surrounded by green grass"... he used to work for the council parks dept, cutting grass.:rotfl::rotfl: Think the RV is etched on my forehead lol
