Fuddle buying yarn online......wool warehouse is very good both on prices and delivery....I have often ordered one day and received the next, I have heard deramores are also good but have no personal experience with them.
Talking of yarn, I bought some lovely Drops aran yarn from wool warehouse that I want to make granny squares with, it is 100% cotton. Would it work if I edged the squares with a different yarn does anyone know? My daughter in USA sent me some really gorgeous Caron Simply Soft which is the same thickness as the Drops aran yarn but is 100% acrylic. Don't want to waste either so am dithering.People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

Hi I bought a pair of wellies from a shoe shop which were £15 and got a few years out of them. I wear them to walk our wee dog. They split across the front of them one of them only. I have recently bought a pair from Next online sale and am about to wear them for the first time today. These were £12 I think it was? They are navy and look very strong and hopefully they will last me a good while. I love this time of the year and you can pop them on with fluffy primark socks for £1
and tramp along the fields with the wee furry man:)

Ideally I need to loose at least two stone to get back to my ideal weight. Which is the bonus, however my real reason for starting is because I’ve been researching depression & all its cousins that come with it. Many professional’s believe that having daily exercise can also reduce depression & many people have been able to come off their medications.

Princess, next time you see your nice GP, ask about a health referral to your local leisure centre - there should hopefully be a programme to help you exercise at a level suitable for your weight, and as that reduces your plan will be changed to suit your increasing capabilities.0 -
I've got a pair of those green workmans wellies with the beige coloured soles. I've had them for 20 odd years and they have never been a fashion item or a thing of beauty but, by golly they keep your feet snuggly and dry and are the only thing I can stand upright in when it's snowy. I got them from a country store and I think they cost £12.99p which was quite a lot of pennies but well worth the outlay, they'll see me out I think, I'll leave them to a grandchild in my will!!!!! Love the welly chat, I got mine just over 12 years ago for a field trip at uni. Trying to find wellies in May/June back then was a total NIGHTMARE!
They only get worn briefly during winters now so have lasted a good long time however in the N3xt sale last year (or one before!?!) I found a pair of black ones with stars and despite being totally non-MSE to buy I did it anyway haha Love stars and just couldn't say no.
With regards to tangly hair, it wasn't really something I remember having problems with as a kid but I've had hair extensions the last couple of years and they can get a bit tangly. I now use some of the aussie hair three minute miracle conditioner once a week and that makes a big difference to them. It is a little expensive compared to some other brands but with the amount/frequency of use it can last a very long time.

I have to own up to lusting after a pair of Hunters for my allotment... well, they will live in the boot of my car really! I've seen some bright fuschia pink ones for around £56 online, which DH is going to buy me for Christmas (but he doesn't know that yet!

Wellies are round all summer long now aren't they due to festival season. I wonder if these wellies are not as good as winter wellies and these are the ones I end up buying :rotfl: Kids cheap wellies are so good and get battered to bits so why adults wellies can't be, I don't really know.
I was naughty this lunch time and had a plate of fried chipped potatoes with salt and vinegar. Lovely but I do feel guilty now.0 -
Don't feel guitly Fuddle, chips are good for your soul!
I don't like wellies, they don't have enough arch and ankle support for me, and pinch around the calf. Oh, and rub the back of my knees and make my feet sewat!:rotfl:. I wear an old pair of walking boots and long socks for winter gardening, and walking boots and gaters for foul weather general getting about. I might look a bit eccentric, but you must look after your feet!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0
