I don't like underwired bras and usually get comfortable ones from M&S....and I am a 46D. Last ones cost €27. Will have a look at the website you mentioned fuddle.

Mar....so glad to hear that your son is home, hope that the pain will ease as time goes by.

Monnagran....hugs for your troubles, do try to take breaks now and then.

Mrs Chip...how could you mention cake??? It reminded me that we hadn't eaten the custard slices that DD4 brought this afternoon.....hope that I can leave them in the fridge for pudding to-morrow.

Raining here this evening....didn't water the garden to-day as it was promised, usually it stays dry when I take the chance. Planted 2 huge pieces of root ginger to-day that had sprouted, have put them in the greenhouse so hopefully they will thrive.

DS2 home for the weekend, he had his remaining 2 wisdom teeth out on Tuesday and reckoned that he looked like a chipmunk on Wednesday....my sons seem to have taken after OH's family with huge roots...when DS1 had his out in Netherlands the dentist did a round of all the surgeries in the practice to show them off. DS2 very impressed with NHS....the 2 he had out here a couple of years ago cost him €800.

Had an early menopause after hysterectomy at 42, only really remember the bother of hot flushes and not knowing how to dress....started to wear layers and still do although no flushes for a long time. On the advice of my oncologist I took HRT, managed to bring it to a dose that kept the flushes away, I think that it was about 3 tablets per week, gave them up after 3 years if I remember correctly.

    Sleep well all

  • Talking of bras, I was a 38DD and always got mine from Tesco's, after losing 4 stone I'm now a 38 where the hell have they gone! I'm still wearing the same bras but I'm doing the hooks up tighter and the cups are just hanging empty. Fortunately all my clothes are too big to, so the empty cups don't show, lol.

Best time of the day , got some concreting being done out back today , need a area where its level for hubby, he dont get out very much at all, but when he do he needs to be able to be safe without dents ,pot holes , etc ...........You will never be able to use a wheelchair about here cos theres so much garden with grass which I cant wheel him on, but he can get his chair or walk to the summerhouse with a decent path...........................

Its a nice morn here , bit cool to start with but the sky is blue and may just be a chance of slight shower later........Dont like hearing about all your menopause problems , they sound so scary , id hate to feel like that for a few years, not nice, thankfully I didnt know I went through the meno cos of hardly any symptoms ..........Hope you all have a super weekend whatever your doing ....................................

Morning all. Just popping in instead of lurking.

Sheila - hope Rosie is ok

Another one here who doesn't need to wear a bra (never had any boobs!) but now I wear the comfy no fastener ones as I was finding I was chaffing a bit...

A bit scary these menopause stories. I'm near on 50 but monthlys same as ever so hoping I'll sail throught it. I am grumpy enough anyway.

Hope you all have a great day and keep posting. I love reading about you all.

Waves to everyone...been MIA for a few months, it's all been a bit mental but I've missed you all, so have come back to torment you!

DD had her baby girl two Sundays ago, weighing in at 8lb 1oz, they had a bit of a drama cos' baby wasn't feeding properly and lost a bit of weight, so ended up back in the hospital last weekend, where they discovered baby had a tongue tie. They fixed that and she's gaining weight now, she's called Summer Skye....

We could do with a bit of that today :)

Morning OMG how cold is it!!!!

Well all my walking this week has taught me 1, I need a waterproof warm coat. 2, some wellys and warm boots.

Guess my 70 savings that I saved by not going out last week will come to use today.

Yesterday I looked everywhere for a coat and still can't find one asda,Tesco, and primaries not a warm waterproof one in sight.
Any ideas on where to look now???

I've seen some ugg type boots in sansbobs for £25 and have 7 on my nector card so that will go towards them lol

But I have wide calfs so wellys is a issue

And I need a size 20 coat to go over my mamoth boobs arhhhhh
I have dyslexia so I apologize for my spelling and grammar
  • Jem, have you tried Bon Marche. I know its a shop for mainly us older people but the branch here has some nice warm and waterproof coats at reasonable prices.
Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.

You lot will probaly laugh , but I havent worn a bra for 14 years....:eek:...I always wear clothing that dont reveal my breasts, never low cut, see through, thin cloth, etc , Ive had shoulder problems and 2 big ops and I couldnt wear bras just after the ops because of the straps cutting into op sites , so Ive so use to not wearing them , Im free.....:D:eek:........and loving it.......We had half hours rain this arvo, didnt do a dam thing for the garden.....:mad:sheila

How lucky are you?? I would get sore knee's if i tried :(

I hate bra’s. For me, You never manage to find one’s that are just comfortable. I’ve tried the A/S ones and find their always itchy. I’m more of a practicable / comfy, their put away type of girl

Thank you for all your support & advice peeps. It really means a lot. I feel like I’m able to talk to you lot without feeling like I’m looked down apon. None of you judge instead you just listen (Well read) and base your comments on how you see each situation.
    Love to you all.

For everyone with troubles. Chin up!! Trust me it cannot get any worse, Can it?

Today I’m anxious. it’s the first time in ages that I’m going to be around loads of people. Its OH dad’s birthday party. To be around loads of people drinking, shouting, ect puts me on edge.

Anyways, Hugs to anyone who needs them.

Belvia (jml) bras are really comfy. Made of all over stretch material that do give some support. They are no use for me during the day as not supportive enough but perfect sleep/relaxing in bras. Mine was £10ish from Asda. Primark do a cheaper version under the rouse of a sports bra. They are more supportive but tighter an a blighter to get on.
  • KATIEOWL so lovely to have you back petal, I've missed you posting and popped a 'How are you' on here but so glad to hear from you again!!! Brilliant news about your DD and new grandaughter, what a beautiful name Summer Skye, so pretty. Hope mum and baby are now doing better and all is well. We're going to be grandparents for the first time in February and I'm so very much looking forward to that, it's so exciting isn't it? Enjoy it all, Love Lyn xxx.
