    Morning All

Last day of the meteorological summer today, and it certainly feels autumnal here. Sunny but the air is cool and it just feels different. I like autumn so looking forward to it.

Life goes on here as usual here, not a lot to report. Nearing the end of the season and will be happy when we get to the end of September ( there comes a point when you have seen enough chips to last a lifetime!).

Does anyone know where Kidcat is? Hope all is ok with her, I am missing hearing about her life, so different to ours. Also she was in touch with Byatt, I would like to know how things are with her. lots of the old thread peeps seem to have gone... nice to have a new lot of friends, but I do miss some of the oldies!

Hugs for those who need them, I know some here have problems at the mo, sadly the old brain box does not retain enough to give everyone a mention. I must eat more fish... :rotfl:

    Have a lovely weekend all!

  • Morning all!

Its been a very busy day yesterday, and today it might take me the whole day to unwind--unfortunately that doesn't look set to happen. We were supposed to go round to a friends for dinner tonight, but about the time I was heading off for the gym another friend of ours let us know about some free gig tickets for someone but us and dinner inviting couple really like...so OH managed to get our tickets and I was busily trying to help other couple get their tickets as there was a limit of two...to no avail. She was lovely and insisted we should use our tickets, but I was determined. However, nothing was happening so I dashed off to the gym.

So anyway OH and I had a nice evening, but still no sign of tickets for our mates. My mate phoned and said we should definitely go as it was a once in a lifetime sort of thing, but I could tell she was upset about missing out herself and I felt so guilty that it hadn't worked out for all four of us to get tickets when they'd been planning to have us around for dinner. Anyway. I can be a bit like a dog with a bone, so I was googling round all of the freebie websites yesterday evening and this morning to see if I could find some either very cheap or free tickets for them...and I GOT SOME! I phoned her right away and I think she is pleased:) It will be a fab night out, and it isn't the sort of thing any of us would ever be able to afford in a million years. I don't think I'd have enjoyed it if I was constantly feeling guilty that she was missing it.

Anyway, all of this excitement and I was up at 6:30, bright eyed and bushy tailed like a 5 year old on Christmas morning. I've made blueberry griddle cakes, and now need to plan my chores for the day.

Right, hugs to all who need them, I think I might need a soothing cup of herbal tea and a lie down in a quiet room for a bit.:rotfl:

So we did went and viewed it yesterday it is perfect small but just what I want you should see the massive pantry its to die for.

Then she was saying will you be able to sell yours, I am like yes they sell really fast hear (investment property sales buy to let )
Will you be able to get another mortgage :( well I dout it dhs daughter lived here never changed any bills out of our names (Myne is the same name as hers ) and ran up lots of debt and we had bailiffs and everything the only thing that's ever been constantly paid is the morgage.
She knows all this I was under the understanding that she would buy it and we would pay the morgage on it.
Like my sisters dad did for her.
Feel really depressed now how could she do that build up me and my boys
I have dyslexia so I apologize for my spelling and grammar

Mrs Chip - Kidkat and Byatt are both active over on FB, I shall pass on a message that you were asking after them.

Great news in the post today, DHs DLA has been renewed until 2016, we only sent the form off 3 weeks ago so I'm impressed at their speedy service this time round. A huge sign of relief here as I don't relish losing that amount from our monthly income.

How does anyone from here find peeps on Facebook - I only have Mardywotsit as a friend from here :(.

Err, just read that back, I don't mean that I don't like having Mar as a friend (quite the opposite), just sorry she's the only one ! Well I know what I mean... I think.:rotfl:

    Afternoon All(Is it already?)
Good to see Pooky's news...Also that Kidkat and Byatt are busy even if over on Facebook but sorry that you are on a downer Jem:(

I have some nice things at the end of next week to look forward to so that should help keep my spirits up. I'm a bit down more at the thought of the dark nights and cold weather coming around again.

I was exhausted so woke too late to go anywhere and to the event that Kezlou is hopefully enjoying today:mad:I had never heard of it before and perhaps I will get there next year.

Then again I slept which is welcome. I will try and do something tomorrow even if its closer to home.

I think I shall try and do some home tidying later and perhaps something nice for an evening meal. That will keep me busy.

I found some trout in the reduced section of the supermarket yesterday for £2 and though I spent the same amount as I might have done in total, I spent less because other items were reduced so money saved in a way was like getting the trout even cheaper.

The bread was baked in store and was a sourdough loaf so at 25p was a bargain, even I could not make my own that cheaply.

I seem to have lost any scissors in the house so may pop out to buy some if I can find something suitable. I need something for cutting nails especially toenails:pbut not really sure what to buy and where from(I have to admit)the pair I have used are years old.

Perhaps I should look in a pharmacy in the first aid section...
