There really isn't much to do for a broken toe. I've broken my great toes and baby toes multiple times. Just tape it to the toe next to it.
I have some tests done and the tech looked at my feet and just asked me how many time I'd broken my toes! He then told me that I had the feet of an 80 year old!
I'll just hobble off0 -
Morning all, looks like a bright day here today, so just stuck a load of washing on, yesterday it was vile so dark and misty most of the day, my DH started his 'long winter' hours at work on Tuesday and him getting up at 5am is waking youngest son and therefore me so I am ready to drop by 9pm!
Worked out that even though I have bought uniform as cheaply as poss it is still going to have cost about £250 for the 3 of them and I haven't even bought new for eldest apart from trousers and shirtsNo big food shop for us this week, we are desperate too as haven't been for almost 3 weeks now, just done little shops using my birthday money
but needs must at the moment, hoping to get back on an even keel at the end of next month.
Speech therapy went well for youngest yesterday too as she has originally planned to discharge him and has only been seeing him every 3mths  but she has finally listened to me and will be seeing him every 2 weeks now to try and get him to form his sounds better. The walk across town did me in though especially after camping at weekend so last night I spent most of the night on the sofa with a book and a few Diclofenacs to ease the pain, fingers crossed much better this morning, I really need to sew youngest a PE bag so will get my machine out once kiddies are fed and watered. Have a good day allx
Proud mummy to 3 beautiful boys!0 -
Morning all feel a little better now than yesterday.
I've been up since six bet I can't get up at that time next week when back to school.
Do any of you home school? I had a chat with dh a few days ago and we still don't know what's happening with ds9.
Well cleaned all down stairs yay washings out and another load in
Dh is in bed bless him he's off work and not had a sleep in yet x
Off to clean the hall stairs and landing.
Have a happy day xI have dyslexia so I apologize for my spelling and grammar0 -
You are a good mum Kez,and a very caring, loving person. That shines thru all your posts.:A Those whoslag you off will learn the hard way. I’m a great believer in what goes around, comes around. They’ll hurt each other and end up isolated. What a lovely giftand kind thought from the lady with the cake stand. As pops said, a great way to end the day.
Carlymummythecost of uniforms is horrendous now, I’m so glad am out of that particularfinancial trap. You must be very stressed about how you are going to manage.:( Hopeyou can manage to get back on an even keel soon. Good news about speech therapy.
I think it must have been an evening for bad legs ashave been awake most of the night because of mine. Painkillers guzzled, gelapplied, different raised positions tried but no relief.
I have to go to town today and am not looking forwardto the walking involved. Can’t be helped though.
Glad you feeling bit better Jem.
Hope you all have a good day.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -
Morning campers! (including fuddle)
Just had a leisurely late breakfast after pottering around a bit (and watching spongebobsquarepants with the kids, made me laugh) Will miss all that when kids back to school, up at 6.30 then and [STRIKE]nagging[/STRIKE]encouraging boys to get ready.
Glad you're feelinga bit better jem, take it easy today. Pops, AOT and carlymummy hope you have a better day today with your legs. Get well wishes to any other poorlies.
Carlymummy - empathies with the uniform costs. We are lucky ours are still in primary school without very costly uniform involved (stuff with school logos optional). However as DS9 has shot up so much lately and buying 10-11 and 11-12 for him, I noticed the price difference between the younger ages and his size  As we ditched the tumble drier last year (wasn't working properly anyway) I need several sets to keep up in the winter.
Well done on getting more regular speech therapy for your DS. Several times during the years both of mine went, they tried to get us to have a break for all sorts of unfathomable reasons and I put my foot down. I knew that once we stopped going, we would be put to the back of the waiting list which was growing longer all the time. Also if we did end up on a break (for the right reasons) when I phoned up to make an appointment to start again (as they would never contact me) receptionist would insist they had no appointments so found out the direct line to the SLT and got one through being insistent and knowing a lot through the charity I support.
SLT services are patchy and in some areas being cut right back to the bone as not deemed that vital. Try asking a parent with a child who needs speech therapy if it's essential, makes my blood boil. A lot of DS6's anger issues in the past stemmed I believe from the sheer frustration of not being understood. DS6's friend who came out with us yesterday also had speech sound development delay and the accompanying anger problems but had to wait for therapy long after DS6 and DS used to "translate" his friend's speech for the teachers at the age of 4.
Sorry to go on, as some of you know, an issue close to my heart.
An odds and ends day for me. Need to pop out for DH's prescription and couple of bits from local shops - Deely Mirrer today has £5 off Aldi shop so will pick 2 copies up if they still have them. Then later to Aldis (with 2 boys who will grumble at the idea) and various tasks, too many to do so just a case of crossing off the list and saving the rest for another day)
take care

Good Luck to you too Mrs LW xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Savingqueen its so hard getting the help need for children with disabilities that's one of the resions we are thinking of home education. When ds9 is at home with us we know how to deal with it so it's fine a lot of our problems come from out side sources.

Morning everyone, been very busy today.
Was up and about at 8am so went straight to the paper shop - bought 2 copies of the mirror. Then on to aldI for the big shop. Managed to do it just over the £40 mark then I had all the vouchers to take off.
I noticed that morris0ns had a voucher in the sun today for £10 off a £60 shop if anyone goes there.
After unpacking, I have hovered downstairs and made a lasagne for tea. Served some on a plate for work later on. Mums washing is all ready to go back, so just need to get ready for work, drive to see mum (1/2 hr drive) chat to her for an hour and then head back and do a shift tonight. I wont get to see her tomorrow as I am in 7am till 10pm. OH has promised he will visit at the evening shift, as I like to think that she isn't on her own. Saturday I am7 till 3 and then straight to visit mum.
Youngest DD visited London yesterday with her boyfriend on the train, they went to see wicked the musical .SHe said it was brilliant. I am sure she will be talking about it lots over the weekend.
Mrs LW I am keeping my fingers crossed for you to have nice weather this weekend. Have a lovely time.
Take care everyone xBSC member 137
