Happy Tuesday to all,
Been MIA for a few days, just trying to catch up on everyone's posts. I did manage to find a campsite with an available pitch for the bank holiday weekend so off we went to North Wales for a few days in our tent, was fab, kids really enjoyed it that's the main thing and we even escaped the rain, we took the tent down and got the car packed just as a storm began over the nearby mountainsManaged to spend about £60 in all that included the petrol and the tent pitch, took lots of food with us and found free things to do.
It was also my birthday last week just after our wedding anniversary so using the money I had I have signed up to WW online must try to shift some weight hoping it may ease my arthritis which predictably sleeping in a tent on a dodgy airbed and walking, and playing footy with the boys has been triggered off.
Also the boys are back at school next week so need to hunt out uniform I know I need to mend eldest blazer and have ordered their shoes etc online just youngests to buy putting it off as long as poss Clarks are so expensive but he really needs his feet measuring. Need to sew a PE bag for youngest too out of some old Hot Wheels Curtains
Well sitting here isn't going to get the washing done is it! Will try to catch up later xProud mummy to 3 beautiful boys!0 -
Morning everyone, just trying to catch up the last 6 pages. Have had a manic couple of days.
I spent Friday and Saturday decorating - looks good but still not completely finished. Sunday we went to mr m to do a very qick shop and then we called to check on my mum. She was really pale and said she had trouble breathing. I wanted to call an ambulance but mum refused, so I drove her. We went straight through to resuss and she was diagnosied as having a heart attack.
I went again yesterday to see her and she looks more like my mum,, but we don't know any more. I have work later and don't feel great about going in. Tomorrow I have the day off so will be visiting her twice as they only have very limited visiting times.
I was so cross with myself for not insisting on calling an ambulance but I did drive her there, and we went straight in. The wait was at 2 and half hours to three.
Last night I sort of slept better, but I am so tired out.
Well I will read back and catch up, I hope you are all ok. xBSC member 137

Morning folks
Have a good day out with your sister and friend kezlou.
Liked the story about the "yoof" brambling, good on him.
Big hugs nutty, - thank goodness you called in to see your mum when you did and were able to get her to hospital. Hope she is feeling better again today. Take it easy love.
Many congratulations on your Silver Wedding Anniversary mary.Good luck with the party plans!
Glad you enjoyed your thrifty camping trip carlymummy. Hope you can rest up a bit at home.
Monnagran, I love scooters too (not that I can ride one!). We sometimes see loads in various rallies and meets (don't know if those are the right words!) in Southend. Glad you are helping the homeless young couple, thank you for all you do. Your drop-in centre is a literal life saver.
Been looking at local news photos re the floods we had. One family's car sunk in 7 ft of water and were rescued 45 seconds before the car sunk right under. Lots of young people helped get three young children out of a window in the nick of time. Not so sure I would attempt my drive through water next time - though the car that was rescued ignored police advice apparently and tried to drive under a bridge when the main road was closed off.
Had another bad night sleepwise though did get some sleep, probably just enough to keep going through the day. We were meant to be going out to a big park with another family today but my friend has to work. I have offered to take DS6's friend with us instead and her sister will look after the rest of her brood at her home (I can't fit 4 extra kids in our car!)
Going out in less than 2 hours and nothing much done - all to get dressed, cats to feed, washing to hang, picnic to make and a quick prescription drop before we go out.
Hugs to everyone, you can't have too many can you?

NUTTY thank heavens you called to see mum when you did, you proabaly saved her life by doing so, all credit to you for driving her straight to the hospital, well done, good job done. I very much hope she is improving today, and hope you are coming to terms with what happened, it isn't until later when you have time to take in what has just happened that you feel the shock of it, I hope you are feeling better today as well. Hopefully you'll see a great improvement in her tomorrow when you visit, hugs to you both, we're here for you if you need us, stay strong, Love Lyn xxx.0

SQ have a lovely day out.
I am so happy that Mum is improving Nutty...a worrying time for all. Thinking of you and I know if you are close to someone what it means to have them in your life...sending hugs to all.
Monnagran just maybe an awkward situation may be coming right, it sounds as though it could be...thank for your kind thoughts as always...
Slept better as it happens...not saying I did not wake through the night but was abel to drop off again...
Kez thank you for the advice regarding sleep too, I will have cushions etc...at the ready and painkillers/tonic water(my other helpers)Have a great day too, I hear that you may be out today.
I wrote two or three longer posts last night but they disappeared, I blame the laptop as I did not even get around to pressing the return button, I think it kept taking me back to the previous page.
Its sunny again today but nothing planned and with the music club tonight I could not go far anyway...
I will try and put that right for the rest of the week, it will give me something to think about. Sometimes I can stay indoors for hours, other times I just have to get out even if its to the SM for an hour."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

nuttyp what a shock for you. I am glad that your mum is more herself now. It was very lucky that you called in to visit her.
The decorating ground to a halt yesterday as my parents came to visit with mt godmother. Just what I needed when the house is upside down although my godmother said she was more interested in my garden than my house. it was nice to her how impressed she was with it. I think she was surprised at how much produce we are getting out of a small garden. We had just got back from the lottie when they arrived so they left with bags of marrows, cabbage, cauli, french beans and blackberries.
I got up and put the first coat on the dining room walls this morning. They should be dry by the time Mr VP gets home from work at 11 and ready for the next coat. I am hoping that we will finish it today so that I can get the living and dining rooms put back together again and he can do the wall papering.
It sounds like there was some good weather to be had over the bank holiday. We went to a friends for a BBQ and had a very nice time.
Off for a quick pin around the internet to read the news before Mr VP gets home.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

Well mum has just rang and they are going to transfer in the next 2 days to the big hospital in Lincoln for an angiagram? they said her heart looked slightly enlarged on the ultrasound scan.
I live just up the road from my mum, and my brother now lives in the next village so she always has a few people popping in. When I had asked her to come and see my wallpapering that I had done, for her to ask me to drive her the alarm bells rang.
Well ive managed to pay £6 in parking at the hospital and my car has used up some £50 worth of petrol - all worth it as it is my mum. Eldest DD and her fianc! are visiting tonight, I am working. Tomorrow I will be visiting in the day time and then we will play it by ear as they say. All mu mum worries about is she is due to go on her holiday on sept 19th a cruise to Norway with eldest granddaughter (my daughter).
I have read everyones posts, and kez I was a mum at 19. Theres nothing wrong in it, I proved everyone that my girls would be ok. They both had strict boundaries and im proud to say they are polite and helpful. Neither smoke or drink, and hand on heart haven't tried drugs.
Have a good day everyone and thankyou again for the kind words of support. xBSC member 137
