Monnagran - as soon as you stick your head over the parapet of life pet, somebody just has to shoot you. Anybody with the gumption, wits and originality to stand up and do something ends up as a target. Probly due to jealousy from all the many who couldn't stand up if their lives depended on it.
Have a wee nip on me, and never let the sods get you down pet cos you're worth far more than them and they know it ;)

Sad news at the Chip Cave this morning - Little Al died in the night. No idea why, sometimes these things are meant to be, but it's very sad.

MRS CHIP so sorry you've lost little Al, he lived for much longer than nature would have let him by the kindness of your actions in loving him and caring for him like a Mum, and you know he was happy too, so sad, Hugs and love Lyn xxx.

FUDDLE don't worry about Monnagran and the Rev in the spare room, I've got a cunning plan if you all end up here together, I'll put the camp beds up in the summerhouse, it has an electricity supply and proper lighting, and the camping electric kettle and my electric frying pan (cooks anything really) and give you a key for the back door so you can use the loo indoors, we'll all fit in the space available don't you fret, and you'll all be most welcome, Cheers Lyn xxx.

Just had a thought Monnagran, we could station the two of you out in the barn (not kidding it really is a mini barn) - cos we keeps the cider up there in the cupboard!!!

    Morning everyone,

MRS CHIPS, I am so sorry about he news about little AL. I know he had the best mummy to help him and all the love and support he could ever had needed.

Yesterday at work, well she never turned up. Our main boss received a text message around 4pm saying she wasn't going to be in work again for another week. So we ended up re arranging the rotas for another week. I offered to do today as an extra shift but I still have Friday, Saturday and sunday off. I refused to change that, I have plans!! Decorating lol

My mum is taking me for a pub lunch today with both my girls for a catch up. We try and have at least a few hours together, its nice that both my girls love being with their nan so much. I think I brought them up well, they will do anything for nan.

Well must read back, will chat more in a little while. take care everyone x

Fuddle don't worry about your sister.
Fairyprincess I haven't had chance yet .If it's possible I will do it today.
Sorry about al Mrs chip. X
For brakefast yesterday I made potato patties from instant mash afried egg and mushrooms and beans everyone loved it. Kids don't eat stuff like that sontold them it was a war time brakefast then we had a air raid sign so had to go under the stairs and wait for the all clear lol.
We then researched war time games and played those. I made a big pan of free veg soup from Myne and next doors garden.

    We made fuddles carrot cookies.

And had porridge made with water

Kids hd to get up in the night as the air raid signal went off lol

They got up today and said we had a great day yesterday

Today we are going blackberry picking after I have cleaned.

    Happy days all xx
I have dyslexia so I apologize for my spelling and grammar
  • JEM you give your lads the best fun don't you? When they're grown up they'll look back on days like that with real affection you're such a brilliant Mum, well done you, Cheers Lyn xxx.
  • NuttyP, maybe they will get tired of having to re-arrange her shifts and will do something on that basis, if nothing else!

Today's plans are more washing, normal work, planning a bit more for Stockholm (Its in three weeks!) and possibly some time out in the garden.

For Stockholm it is working out the cheapest transport from the airport, locating the nearest SM and deciding what I'm going to rattle on about for 15 minutes.:p

The SM order is set to come, so I'll make sure the cupboards are tidy when I do that. Lunch is broccoli and stilton soup leftover from the weekend, and bagels on the side. Dinner is a watermelon and feta salad (or should I say salad cheese as it isn't proper feta?:rotfl:) OH won't fancy it, but he bought the watermelon a bit ago and it needs eating.

We have a walking/cycle path behind us that has blackberries. I suggested to OH last weekend that we should go picking and he said, "oh yes, I've seen people doing that while I'm out on my run. I don't want to." I probed a bit and worked out that it wasn't that he was opposed to the blackberries just that he didn't want to spend the time picking them. He loves blackberries, whereas I find the seeds a bit annoying, but I just think it seems silly not to pick what you can:o. Still, I might go and pick some on my own this weekend if I have a bit of time.

SQ--I really enjoyed your post last night.

GQ--I can't believe SG was treated that way. It just seems wrong.

Right. I'd better get a wriggle on. Hugs to any who need them, and I'll pass over a wee dram to Monnagran.
