SQ look on Fleabay many bra extenders, all colours and numbers of hooks for pence and free postage, much easier than cobbling together from old ones, glad you had a nice day, very envious of your coming trip to the Nutcracker, many years since I went to live ballet so feeling nostalgic. DD1 did ballet until she was 13 and we used to go to the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbuty every time a ballet company put on a performance, then she grew too tall and developed muscles so dropped out. Still I can't complain as she sings now and I'm still needed to be in the audience for her to sing to, lucky me, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Decided that I could afford the bread maker so I have it now...and will work between bread I make and the BM. I think I will be able to do some extra recipes to the six it suggests with practice. I have found loads on the internet that may work. Hopefully its not heavy on the energy.
Well, I have three options now...the breadmaker, home made and reduced bread at the supermarket. Officially it doesn't offer as much choice as the Panasonic BM everyone raves about but it does six different types according to the manual. The other six programmes I probably won't use(making jam etc...)
Generally an easy day again, I will get shaved and dressed soon, have a coffee and then out for my night of bingo and the quiz.
Lots happening next weekend as it is a Bank Holiday. May suddenly take off before then if the weather holds up...thinking parks this time."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Don't worry Sheila - I'm fairly sure it's just me! I've always had a high metabolism and the kelp just seems to have made me even more hungry, as I'm feeling better all round and less harassed in general I'm eating properly rather than rushing and fitting me in around everyone else. I always put weight on when I'm feeling good and lose when I'm stressed so it's a good sign for me.0

Welcome... Oh no, I've changed page and forgot your name! Welcome though

MAR what is the difference between a spiritualist and a medium. In my ignorance I thought they were the same.
Tumble dryer broke. We won't be getting it fixed as not paying call out charge. Line it is for me until it rains.
I didn't bake, crocheted but couldn't be bothered to bake.
I'm being pestered for a pudding by all. I haven't made one - curry rice and naan is enough, no?!0 -
A medium bring evidence of survival after death, brings you evidence and hopefully proof that your loved one is still around you.
Spiritualism is a religion

Hi everyone, I have just had to scan through 5 pages to catch up. Blimey we can natter on here!!
Had a manic day at work yesterday and finally got home at 10.20pm, OH was fast asleep when I got in so I nipped in the shower and went to bed.
Today so far I have done 4 loads of washing and pegged it out. Cleaned through and then we went to the pub for a cool drink and a natter. We ended up being naughty and having a pub snack too. We ordered 3 coke's (youngest DD came too) and a sandwich and chips each. We have a look at the sunday market but didn't buy anything.
Ive made yet another lemon curd cake - the last one was made 2 days ago and has all been eaten by OH. I use mr t 22p lemon curd.
I have done another variation of the lemon curd cake - I tried mixed fruit jam and it has turned out ok. A little sticky but still nice.
Must go and check the washing in the garden - it should be dry by now....
take care everyone x

I'm a complete sceptic when it comes to all things "unexplained" but when a good friend of mine went to see a medium after the death of her husband she had a message from her husband for a female friend with the name of "x". The message itself was quite general but the fact that it was my name, which is fairly unusual for a girls name was quite startling.
I'm quite happy that I remain in blissful ignorance of anything until it shows itself to me.
I've made the decision today that I'm going to look for a Xmas temp position a they become available. I need to get back into the workplace and this is a good time of year to get out there and find something seasonal (but hopefully longer term). I've not "gone out" to work since DD1 was born (18 years ago now) but have worked from home as a childminder for a number of years. I just need to et my CV up to date and bite the bullet.....scary! DH will be ok for a couple of hours a day, I shall tie him to a chair if necessary (joke) to stop him falling over.
Just remade the bed with line fresh bedclothes.....I'm itching to go jump in!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Hello everyone. Oh my - I go away for a couple of days and come back to loads of conversation to catch up on. Hello to the newcomers, well done to all students passing exams, and hugs to anyone who needs them.
I've had a lovely weekend staying with friends on the other side of the Tyne and have been really spoilt. She is a wonderful cook and did braised lamb shanks with garlic mash and belted leeks for tea on Friday - delicious!!!! But I ate far too much. Then my friend took me to an ex-catalogue shop she frequents and I got a beautiful brand new dress for under £4.00 - bargain.
However, now I'm home have been brought back to earth with a thump. Three letters waiting for me from the tax man, saying I owe even more money than was said last time and they want the money NOW!!! Somehow I knew the phone conversation where I was reprieved would not be noted. So I have to start all over again with the phone calls tomorrow. Wish me luck please.
Night night for now, sleep well everyone.Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do, Do without.0 -
Evening All
Hi to the new posters, welcome to the Pleasure Dome/Funny Farm
Sitting here, typing with one hand as I have a small sparrow sitting on my chest
. Evening routine now as Little Al seems to want company in the evening. and will not shut up until I settle him in a little tissue nest. Then he will sit happily chirping to himself until he goes to sleep. Aw bless :rotfl:.
Nice quiet day as last night's service turned manic and I am quite worn out. We have one more busy week next week then things should quieten down as the season slows up. I have to say I have not noticed any benefit from the kelp, but will keep trying.
Dinner this evening was roast chook, with our own new potatoes, runner beans and courgettes. Delicious. So much nice for growing some of the ingredients, or is that just an illusion? We had carrots from Lidl, nice new ones with their tops, for £1 (well spent, they were the best tasting carrots I have had in ages).
Now chilling with a glass of Rose, I don't drink very often so feeling slightly squiffy
so better stop there.
I would love for the meduims to be right, Mar, can you do distance readings?Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0
