I'm going to catch up with that program some time today nutty. I'm interested in nice things for nothing but my concern will be that I get cross at items sourced for nothing/blagged etc because of her name and TV cameras. I hope not. Looking forward to escaping for an hour when I've done my chores.

I don't at all feel well. I suspect it's days worth of pain killers. Hopefully I can ease off them tomorrow.

Cheaps I like the idea of a book token to be used for the children who are entering the class. When DD leaves Primary in 3 years time I could give a larger book token donation for the school as a thank you Yes, I like that. Thank you, great idea :) It's all about doing what is right for you isn't it? It doesn't matter that I don't give just as much as it doesn't matter that others do.

Can I ask when is it likely to see runners on strawbs?

Mine start sending out runners while still fruiting - it has been known for the runners to fruit! The other year I 'caught' some runners in pots (yoghurt pots with holes burnt in when I ran out of small pots) and planted up a new bed. This year that bed has produced fabulous stawberries, loads of them and they are wtill coming. I will thrown out those plants this year and replant with new runners, once I have rooted them.

Erm - I would like to apologise for my tone up the thread - when I said I'm thanking to mark my place. I also DO like reading the posts...:o sorry!

Got washing on the line. My almost empty (210l) water butt is now brim full - and I only collect from a 6' x 8' shed roof!

I think DD is planning on baking today. Her school report is excellent (as per usual) - if I hadn't been there when she was born I might seriously doubt this diligent, hard working girl was mine!:D

nutty thanks for the reminder about the ald* voucher. I will be buying the paper but have you noticed they have put the spend up to £45? it seems to be going up every few months:(

princess how exciting! hope you don't have to wait long for bubs to arrive.

stiltwalker hope all goes well with ds in his big boy bed

this is the first year I haven't had to do teachers' presents as both ds' are in secondary school and it is just not cool! I always did homemade presents and all very inexpensive. in the summer the boys decorated a mug for their teacher.

Is the aldi voucher now £45? Soon I don’t think it will be worth it. I mean I understand that its still a load cheaper than shopping in MR-T’S’M’A but I found that £40 was a reasonable amount required to get £5 off.

Pleased to report that night 1 of operation big boy bed went well. He did get up for a crawl round when his Dad got up for work at 5 but went back to bed and back to sleep once he'd gone. I woke to the happy noises of 2 small people enthusiastically hugging and playing with DD's toys both in her bed this morning. It was a perfectly respectable 8.30 though so well done DS!

DD been for her last jab this morning and was very brave.

Catch you all later - hugs where needed or wanted - X

Damh and blast, £45 is a lot to spend in one go. I wish it was still £40, me and my mum use to put our shopping through together to get the money off. Oh well, we should just be able to do it.

Don't forget you can use the voucher for 1 week so if you shop on a Thursday you can use one this week and then one next week!!!

I will still shop in @ldi, tbh it has made me spend so much less than I do if I go in the bigger supermarkets.

Have hovered up and cleaned the bathroom so far. The shelves under the stairs need cleaning and tidying up - must get started.....

nutty/princess I was saying to OH that I think they will lose out if they put it up any more. At £35/40 I bought two now at £45 I will probably only buy one.

I have read another post that says it is still £40

stilwalker well done to your ds

VJSmum - there is a famous saying that cats were worshipped by the Egyptians in ancient times, and that cats have never forgotten this,:rotfl: and its fairly descriptive of cat behaviour. Our cats know my parents well, yet when we go away our standard rule is do no let the cats out, because I know they will get huffy and refuse to co-operate with anyone else as punishment for our daring to go away :D

Well as is typical of our weather, its been hot and sunny all morning, and then we collected DS9 at 1.30, so the rain started!!

Stiltwalker - stay on guard, children like to lull you into a false sense of security and then BAM! they leap into action :rotfl: I know from bitter experience. Proud mummy moments - oooh DS slept in his own room beautifully last night - a week later its sob sob sob he wont sleep in his room!!

I wont be buying the paper for the voucher, I spend upto £30 in Ald! a week so it would be difficult to spend £45 in one go.

So a quick update on my SIL.
Brother's just come here for a little R&R.

The hospital have no idea whats happening to SIL. In fact whilst they was at the hospital they was told they could take a wonder off to get some food from the cafe. Half way there SIL black out and brother had to catch her. Now, She has no movement & is struggling to walk unless she bends forwards facing her knee's. Yet, they have released her to go home.

They have said they cant see her being pregnant for much longer, a sneeze or cough could actually break her waters - But they don't want to induce her just yet.
So, Still no buba & I now have a poorly SIL and my drained brother!
