We also, amazingly, stayed up till 1am. Don't usually bother but the children both wanted to stay up till midnight for the first time and we were watching Queen with Adam Lambert who I couldn't stand previously but he can actually sing. The fireworks were wonderful. Sapphie dog not too bothered by them as long as next to me and the outdoor bunnies not bothered at all.
Today we have DH's parents popping over for a cuppa but that's it, so will do a bit of cleaning and tidying this morning and then more vegging.

    Morning all

I was fast asleep by 10pm - woke to hear some fireworks going off but didn't stay awake for long - kittens woke me at 4am being very purry and snuggly, then proceeded to use me as a trampoline whilst kicking each other in the head.

Been doing some work this morning and trying to catch up on the washing mountain that seems to have grown from nowhere. Kitchen decs will come down later this afternoon.

I made a SC chilli yesterday so some of that will be used tonight and the rest frozen for another time. I shall be more organised with my meal planning...I shall, I shall, I shall!!

Nutty! Nutty! Nutty! What wonderful news! Aren't good auld working class folk the salt of the earth eh? Well done that man for gritting his teeth and finding himself, not only a new job, but better paid job. So thrilled for you.

New Years Eve day was spent driving to Nottingham and back to meet to pick the girls up from MIL with the evening spent playing Monopoly all night. We all stayed up till 12 and then crashed immediately.

Have been working today but now finished. Very tired. I resolve to not lift a finger. :D

It's sure to be another year of difficulties for us all but here's to finding both the resolve and the strategies that will enable us to make our poor situations, bearable.

Get well soon Sheila glad you are starting to improve. I hope 2015 proves to be a healthier one for you.

Pleased you are feeling better too Nutty.

Made a big chicken Korma last night should be enough for both of us tonight plus enough for the freezer for us both another day. Must go cook some rice ad warm it up now.
  • Happy New Year everyone.

I have decided to stop lurking and start posting on here again. I used to find it difficult to comment on everyone's posts so don't be offended if I miss anyone out.

It's still me, Mr VP and 2 grown up DD's. I'm still cooking meals from scratch but have stopped making my own bread which I intend to correct asap and will be waking up to the smell of fresh baked bread tomorrow.

Congratulations to Mr Nuttyp on the new job. Mr VP has been out of work on a few occasions and I know what a worry it is.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.
