Happy to report I am feeling lots better, DS10 is getting there and DH made me yet another cuppa this evening.... seriously wondering now if he has a confession to make! Looking forward to seeing the New Year in and making plans for a whole new fresh year. Hoping for some more good news for 2015 for fellow doorsteppers.

I tied my wedding dress in a sheet and popped it in the washer on a gentle wash. When I bought my wedding dress it was $165 second hand (really funny, it was altered to fit someone exactly my size, which isn't all that common). It had been dry cleaned by the lady before selling it (still had the tag on). So subsequent to the wedding I inquired about having it dry cleaned before selling it on again (we'd been on the beach and paddled in it). Turned out it was over $100 :eek: So I figured, what's to lose?? And in it went. It gently dried, hung from my upstairs neighbours balcony railing down (the only way long enough to hang it) and it turned out perfectly. Sold it for $160 :rotfl:

The one time me washing something has gone badly was with a skirt that shrunk, but the lining didn't. The stupid part of that was that the skirt did say it was machine washable.

New years celebrations here are posh sparkling water, sandwiches and some reduced cake from the freezer. And love. So wishing you all the same.
