Monna - that sounds like DS's nursery nativity this morning where half the angels and a king decided to play tag up and down the aisle half way through! Ds's nursery is fab if a little unconventional - they very recently got outstanding from OFSTED with the only point they could improve was putting the coat hooks at a level the kids could reach them (in plan anyhow, as recently had a big swap round). They got a special mention for how well they supported kids with special educational needs and disabilities.
Anyhow, off to bed now - Happy Christmas one and all - much love and thank you to one and all for being an important part of my 'stay sane regime' - love and hugs - Helen X0 -
Good morning and a Happy Christmas to you all.
Fell into bed at 1.30am and we all woke up at 5.45 am. DS10 informed me he came downstairs at 2am as woke up and couldn't sleep and DS8 woke at 4am. Could have been a close call!!!
All pressies opened and DH made bacon butties and huge mugs of 'proper' coffee which will keep us going for a bit. A friend has made me a scarf I admired that she knitted for herself, its gorgeous and so special. Homemade fudge from another friend and a whole bag of goodies from another special friend.
DH bought me a tablet so I have my own technology to get on OS forums whenever I like at home. For the first time, boys went to our local shop on their own, bought us chocolate gifts out of their own money and wrapped and hid them for us - so thoughtful and they are very proud of themselves. Feeling very spoilt and loved.
Boys love all their gifts both big and small. They are currently wearing their bright pound shop wigs from Santa sack and dancing about.
So looking forward to our turkey and trimmings later then planning a wee snooze before playing games with kids and watching 2 of my fav Christmas programmes this eve. DH has promised to do all the dishes and I have the remote control from 7.50 to 11pm!
off to get dressed and start on veggies.
sending love, peace and warm hugs to you all

I survived cooking for 14 last night and thankfully have leftovers to add to lunch today, which means less veg peeling
My friend's 14 year old daughters were teasing DS1 last night and told him they were going to make sure he was up at 6am this morning. DH gave them DS1's mobile number....so everyone was up at 6am as DS1 had to spread the joy. DS2 was not happy.
I got some lovely presents, including 3 pairs of pjs and 3 new jumpers. My friend got me a gorgeous sewing box which means I have no excuse not to get the sewing machine out again. I also got Knitting for Nerds, so it looks like everyone is getting Princess Leia hair for next ChristmasDH brought me a Death Star Cookie jar and a "Come over to the Dark Side, we have cookies" T-shirt.
The turkey is in the oven, the ham got cooked yesterday and I plan as relaxed a day as possible. DS1 brought DH Lego Batman 3 so that is him happy until New Year.
Have a wonderful day everyone xxxxxxxxxx0 -
Lovely gifts thoughtfully bought or re-purposed including a wicker basket full of socks off OH - just what I needed. Dgs actually joined in for the first time though a little overwhelmed by it all.
Nice big bacon and egg breakfast to tide me over till Oh gets up again and decides he is hungry. Now going to put my feet up till we pick Dgs up for the night so he can relax here and recover from the fuss.Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
