Fuddle....Wow that was good news about having another 12 months in your house, when I use to rent I hated the feeling of insecurity, wondering if my contract would be renewed , or the LL putting a letter through the door giving me notice.....
I went up hospital yesterday and dr took stitches out as its healing lovely, and he is gonna book me in for the other foot to be done , should be done with in next 4 weeks , really be so glad to get it done , I will never take my feet for granted ever again, I promise my feet that I will only buy expensive shoes and boots , cos I bought a cheap pair of flat shoes from asda 3 years ago and then both my feet started hurting , I dont care how much I spend on footwear , ive just got myself a pair of Croc wellies , they are super comfy with arch support , I just cant wait to wear them......:D,ha ha never thought id be so excited over a pair of wellies.......
Pooky.....Made me laugh when I read your post about wanting to put your jimjams on at tea time , cos everyday at around tea time I have a shower and on goes onesie or dressing gown, only prob is is that I sell eggs at the door , well ive got a fridge in the front porch so people help themselves , but theres always one that want change ...
Gigervamp.....So sorry you have cancer , but nice now for you to have a spring in your step , lets hope its onwards and upwards from now on....
SQ....Thanks , yea it so lovely to be able to hear properly again , when dr first put the aid in my ear , I couldnt believe the little things I could hear , like the dr breathing , and his shirt rustling near me .......Lovely so pleased , glad as we get older we can have a few bits and pieces added....Hope you manage to get the schools you want ......
Cornish.....Youve set yourself some good targets .....
We have obsessive compulsive cleaners on tv at 8 tonight , Ilove watching that , cant believe how dirty some people live , even when I was in the wheelchair , id wheel myself around and clean all worktops, fridge , cooker etc , I felt so much better knowing it was clean, my mother was a cleaning freak , so thats where I get it from , pity I cant cook though.......Weather still very nice again , nice to get washing line dried , this weather will make winter feel shorter .....SheilaMy motto is " one life live it ".....:)0 -
Poor you Pooky, hope this lot of ABs actually work!
Well done on the contract extension Fuddle. Not that I expected anything less! Well my children have been taken out for a Thai meal by the in-laws and we are having leftover jacket potatoes. How the other half live eh? I have frozen all the baking lest I be tempted to eat all of it, since I am attempting to be as successful at losing weight as Ginny!0 -
ouchy pooky thats not good, are you drinking cranberry juice and things like that? My GP always recommends barley water drinks as well, if that helps
Sheila - so pleased you will get your next operation done soon, you will be tangoing by Christmas
fuddle - good news that you have another year of security
gigervamp - hope your meal was lovely
SQ - well done on making the decision about schools, I admit I am not filling my form in, DS will not be going to any school I an choose on the form so its a pointless exercise. If I decide I want him to try the special needs school then its a separate application anyway
Its been so busy here today and I don't feel we have done anything, certainly nothing like I had planned, ended up having to take DD all the way to uni rather than just the bus stop, then back to doctor for the boys, off to next town for new meds for DS16 and then back to have DS10 glasses repaired (they didnt bother and decided a new pair were required), shopping and then off to have the tyres on the big car re-balanced as someone has stolen all the weights off all our cars!
Its cost me £15 for the big car and I have to take the two little ones in this week at the same price - a very expensive prank, I hope at least.
Its convinced me we have got to get the CCTV fitted quickly, it was planned for in a few weeks but after this, OH tyres being put down every few days and someone hitting DD20 wing mirror last week, I think its going to save more than it costs fairly quickly.
Still no car, and I am getting a little obsessive over it now, fingers crossed for something to pop up soon0 -
Evening everyone, thanks for the welcome wishes. I was going to pay you a visit yesterday but couldn't get on the forums at all, tried from about 6-10pm.
Sorry to hear so many of you are having health problems and I really hope you are feeling better very soon. Hope the half term holidays aren't too stressful for you, personally I love the school holidays as I work in school! We had our half term 2 weeks ago so we have a long slog till christmas now.
It actually stopped raining here today (first time for over a week) and was a glorious afternoon. I emptied the hanging baskets at the front of the house and need to buy something that will last over the winter for them. One already has violas in, may do the same for the others. Also cut down a shrub at the back of the house as in the half light it looked like someone was standing there and kept giving me a fright. It was just nice to be outside.
I must sort some of my bedroom tonight as I have to empty it so I can decorate. DD and I moved here nearly a year ago and so far I have only managed 2 rooms! We have had a new roof and new central heating though.0 -

Burtha ((hugs)) planning is good, it keeps you occupied and focused, with the advantage of being handy to help be prepared.
Am up at silly o'clock, as OH has gone out to work am hour ago but disturbed the kitties who are all wandering around chirruping and climbing places. Have to get everyone up soon as Dd20 needs to be on bus for 8.30 so everyone will have to be up and dressed by then. Am going to use the early start and head to a sea life place using our passes before it gets too busy inside.0
