Oh Cornish I can feel that my stomach cancer was under my bra at the front. I still can't stand one on for long.

I was lucky when I had shingles I got the rash no pain. I went into the chemist late Christmas eve and asked what I could do for this rash which was driving me mad. He sent me straight round to the doctors saying there will probably still be someone there. I took the tablets straight away and never got any pain at all. I have to admit the rash drives you mad but in order to get rid of the pain I hope you get the rash soon.

    Morning all

CC - those targets are fab! - What a great addition to his pressie, I'm sure he'll have loads of fun with them.

Fudds - that cushion cover is fab - what sort of yarn was it - looks quite chunky?

SQ - Hope you manage to get a bit of "me" time once the boys are in bed, sounds like you need it x

Frantically busy here with work, had to close my order books for Christmas now and need to get super organised.....I don't seem to be able to find the balance of work and/or housework, hey ho - the dust will still be there tomorrow.

DD2 has a 4 hour interview this morning, she's very nervous! Over 9000 people applied for 30 jobs! She is one of the 83 they are interviewing! DD1 is off in Edinburgh visiting her BF, she's there all week so it's very calm and sedate here...she's such a drama queen.

Right must crack on and get DD2's interview outfit pressed - she'd do it herself but she's such a bag of nerves that I don't think I trust her with the iron! :)

    Good luck Miss Pooky!
    Welcome Gigervamp.
Cornish I love your targets. I know it's frustrating, but 2 nerf guns is much better than one as now they can have battles. I've actually lost count of how many nerf guns there are in this house but certainly while doing room clearance I've found almost as many nerf bullets as pieces of lego...
Nursemaggie that's awful for DS. I agree the phone record ought to be available.
DH is off work today and just about to take the monsters swimming, so I am having some time to myself to apply for a job and write an article I'm being paid for. Had a message last night to arrange another viewing - almost 2 weeks away!! Don't these people know I want my house sold by then?!

    Ooh Good luck Miss Pooky!

Cornish chick Those targets are brilliant! I'm not at all creative in that way. I somehow managed to miss that you have shingles, so sorry to heat that x

Welcome to the thread gigervamp :) Lovely yo have you joining us!

nursemaggie could you post into a Word document and then copy and paste it into the Reply box? I think several people do that because they are fed up with losing posts. It's a nuisance and a faff, but at least you'd keep it. Oddly enough I've never lost a post, but must have just been lucky.

ivyleaf I used note pad I always do if I write a lot it took 6 goes and 6 hours to post. each time it just said "there has been an error try again" I do not have word though I do have an open source office. It was every time I actually clicked to post after putting it in the box. We were having problems with our internet last night but it just did not get better. Funny thing is I managed to post on the Christmas thread in the middle of it all.
Then in the middle of it all DS came in and told me what was in his 3 letters. I knew it was a sanction because they always come in 3 separate envelopes. If he had not gone on the course which was full time he would have been sanctioned so it seems you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. He better be sorting it all now.

    Welcome gigervamp.

    Morning doorsteppers :)

We have glorious sunshine here, just waiting for washing to finish to hang outside. Boys are glued to a racing game but when laundry is out we are off to the woods. Hoping the autumn colours and sunshine will lift my spirits. Despite all your kind words, which were much appreciated I still feel very down.

DH and I finally decided on our 6 preferences for secondary school and hoping DS will get one of them.Very few don't get one of their choice but all our choices are out of catchment and oversubscribed. Just need to apply online, getting very close to the deadline of 31st. DS heard us talking downstairs and so had to tell him of our final decisions (close to his choices) and then calm him down. 12 midnight before he was back in bed! It will be a big relief to get the form done, I have lived and breathed secondary schools the last few months.

Just realised I have missed the last page of posts so off to read and will be back!
