Oh pooky that is so sad.

Thank you ladies for the boost yesterday, I think my mood is partly due to the weather change, partly exhaustion and partly project fatigue. This term has the longest run of the school year and is 8 weeks either side of half term, I am more suited to 6 weeks it seems :) I hate this weather and cant abide the change, I love my sandals and three quarters, I feel trussed up in boots and scarves. And of course the house looks awful due to being mid sort out. All of which is largely out of my control so I get down.
Today being a new day I am aiming to just get through it, Thursday being my hardest day with an early drop off at 7.30 finishing with last pick up at 6pm, getting through seems a realistic goal.
Tomorrow is also a hard one worth a school disco thrown into the mix, but the weekend I plan to use to throw the house into order, no new jobs to be done just setting straight. I think a break in projects then it's in order to allow me time to regain my energy.

SQ good luck sorting out hubby, maybe a day or two in your shoes would help? OH did two days last week here and now admits he goes to work to escape! Not quite what I was looking for but a move on the right direction.

Has anyone heard from mardatha? Seems ages since she posted and she was struggling then I seem to remember.

I was wondering about mardatha too, hope she's okay.

kidcat - don't you dare say you don't do anything of value, you work damn hard for your family and have to do a lot more fighting than some of us. ((HUGS))

nursemaggie - How frustrating about your son's coat. has he got a fleece top he can wear underneath?

Sq Sorry about ds's test results - glad you have a friend in same situation, it does help.

Such sad news about pink. Her poor family :(

This weather is weird, i'm sitting here in a short-sleeved blouse! And the other day I thought I was getting a cold, then I read in the paper y'day that people are still having hay fever, very unusual for this far into October. I've gone back to using my nasal spray and feel much better, and have told DS that actually he may not have a cold after all.

ETA I've just seen that mardatha posted on the SHTF thread yesterday afternoon so hopefully that means she's not too bad

    Hello everyone

I stopped taking my hayfever tablets last night as the pollen count said low and as I take them for half the year, thought it was time to stop. Today I have been sneezing my head off! Glad it's not another cold brewing but still feel a grotbag.

Kidcat - DH has been in my shoes on a few occasions before eg. after I had ops. However they were watered down days! I had to make sure we had ample food in and washing up to date, clean bedding etc. He coped fine with easy meals, school runs, all the real basics but nothing more, no appointments, school events, kids over for tea, favours for friends etc. I find its the hundred and one random little things that add up as well, dealing with condensation, descaling, cleaning filters, repairing, searching for x item in the shop, social organisation, banking.... well the list goes on and on and I don't need to tell you!

We have sunshine :) so bedding out after changing beds yesterday. Just off to town for some errands and fresh air then hoping to come back home to do a couple of bits before school run. I have so many to do lists I need to collate them!

    take care everyone

I'm busy doing nothing, nothing the whole day through,
Trying to find lots of things not to do,
I'm busy going nowhere, isn't it just a crime,
I'd like to be unhappy but I really don't have the time!!!!

There are many more verses that I don't know but I'm sure that is the chorus and on those days when I'm under the weather or the weather is just too grim to go out I often sing that bit in my head and it always makes me smile!!! Wish you could shake this horrid bout of ME and feel like yourself again xxx.

ivyleaf It is DS that ordered the coat without a lining. He has also been told time and again to get a winter coat. This coat was supposed to solve both a rain coat and a winter coat.

It is like when I say vacuum your bedroom or change your bed it takes him months to do it. The only way to get him to change his bed is to tell him it stinks and your not going near him until his bed is changed. Especially considering my health problems he should be cleaning his room regularly. He has actually been cleaning his own room since he was 14 he just never does it voluntarily.

Did not get my shopping done yesterday. I have a lot of side affects from my cancer treatment. I have tablets to treat the symptoms. Went to the dr Monday, new doctor hours behind missed chemist. Tuesday, Wednesday, this morning spent in the bathroom. When I went to the chemist yesterday Pharmacist was out for lunch so did not get back from Mr M until 3.15pm to late to go to town. Can't go today got flu jab this afternoon. If it is going to be warmer I don't need anything I wanted from town yet. What I wanted was winter prep.

I can't tell what the weather is like, my kitchen in in the arctic, living room is a cool autumn day and my study is in the tropics. How do you dress for that? It is periodically sunny.

Hi all, just a quick post to tell you all about the government electricity rebate I have received on my bill. It is worth £12 and is to help with costs associated with policies (social and environmental) for households that qualify. I don't know what qualification means but I have got it and thought to mention it as I never knew of such a thing. Only just checked my account.

We get one this October, then again next October.

Hardly an amount to dance about but at least it's something back.
