Thanks kezlou, I'll give it a go. The price of shop GF bread is horrific!

I know its ridiculous, nearly £2.50 sometimes for a decent sized loaf.

Oops sorry forgot to say I don't use dairy in the gluten free dough, so its completely vegan as well.
  • We've just been treated to supper at the pub and very nice it was too. He Who Knows has been helping a neighbour to lay a concrete base for a new summer house and they said come to the pub and we'll treat you to supper as he's worked so hard. Isn't that kind? He'll help erect the new building next week if it's dry enough and they will invite us to the grand opening when it happens, looking forward very much to that.

Hi, only quickly read through posts so now carnt remember who needed help with gf foods ,but unsure if you know that you can get lots of things on prescription ,bread ,biscuits, pizza base ect anyone who is gp diagnosed can get it,if you look on the website of the bread maker, most of them say what you are allowed ,some even have print off lists to hand in to Dr ,if you don't get free prescription s get a pre payment (think it works out about £10 per mth) also lots of free stuff on website .
Message me if you need any help ..

    Morning all

I've given up bread altogether (and a lot of other things) as I just can't eat it any more, I have a yeast intolerance as opposed to a gluten issue. It's surprising how many products use yeast these days.

Had an appointment with DH at audiology yesterday, he saw the hearing team last year who said he needed a referral to the tinnitus team if his issues got any worse. They've got a lot worse so he went back to the GP and asked for the referal. We turned up yesterday to a different clinic to last time but it's just the same team, not the tinnitus team!! Arrgggghhh....so now another 8-10 week wait for that. What a waste of our and their time.

Grocery shopping due this morning and I've got some framing to do as well as the normal housework.....suppose I'd best crack on with it.

Maybe one more cup of tea first?

Molly - That did make me chuckle - did you feel the need to explain what you were doing down there?

They made a hasty exit asking sister to "deal with me" ! we couldn't find a better method between us so she left me to it. I had to crawl to the loo for about 3 weeks, the rest of the time I spent flat on my back staring up at the ceiling. Gradually I started to sit up and recover but it made for an interesting encounter:rotfl:

OOh Jem thank you for the reminder, I have an airer on reserve at dun@lm that I havent collected yet.

Pooky I would be livid to have travelled to hospital for nothing.

I am on a bad week here, feeling quite low and tired, have achieved nothing of any value. Had planned to head to bed this morning to see if a few hours extra sleep will help but I had DD8 old bed listed on the bay and someone has messaged asking to take it this morning. They wanted to pay £50 but its scruffy in places and it felt wrong to take so much, so I have said I will take £30.
Hoping it will feel better to have a big space cleared again, have been tripping over the bits for over a week.

Have some washing on the line as there is a queue for the dryer, it wont dry fully but will do enough for a quick blast when the dryer is available and its not stuff I am desperate for unlike the stuff currently in the dryer.

Popped into M@kro yesterday and bought a fair amount of meat, so I now have some of my Christmas meats ready in freezer, just need to pop back for the turkey at a later date and that will be finished.

Sheila hoping everything is going OK and you are being well looked after.

It has taken me 6 months to get DS to get a waterproof coat. I told him to get a warm one. It came this morning it is just a thin mac no linings or padding:mad: I expect it will take another year to get him to order something warm to go underneath.

Hope the airers do not take as long.

Off to town for a long list of shopping. Hope I can carry it home on the bus.
