BBC News this morning said that this year the Post Office will only be charging £2.80 for parcels up to 2kg instead of the usual price by weight which I think they said was £8. This might help stay OS if you have to send parcels at christmas.0

It's official I no longer work the night shift! Yes, I lose the shift pay but the nights were starting to take their toll. My new shift pattern never has me working later than 2315! I can be in bed by midnight.
I truly want to be able to sleep more than four hours at a time.
The postal service here has almost priced itself out of the market.0 -

I have trimmed the number of cards and parcels we send down a lot but still have some we really want to send and will do so unless we get to the point where we can't. I love sending cards and little surprise gifts as well as for occasions but I have all but stopped those. I feel sad about it but I have to keep to a budget like we all do.
The plumber has been again but the part isn't the right one for our model. We never seem to be a "standard" customer. Hopefully the correct part will arrive tomorrow.
DH is working late again. I usually eat with him but I was so hungry I ate my lasagne with the children. Blooming lovely and packed out with peppers, mushrooms, grated carrot, lentils and oats.
Here is his lordship now... so must vacate the computer, I think my laptop has had it. DH can moan but we cannot afford to replace the lappy, it's not exactly an essential.0 -
The postge costs have ruined things for myself and all my charity crafty friends. We tend to take stuff to local charities now, sad because there was such cameraderie. Hopefully the new low parcel rate will mean we can do more of the type we used to do.
Have been challenging myself to finish a lot of nearly done projects and get stuff moved to its new homes. This has been acheived quite well by limiting my time on the lappy. I even started my Christmas Cards tonight.
Its chilly here but the heating isnt going on yet, time for hot water bottles which I love.
Jem hope you feel a bit better soon.
Wc welcome to the daytime world, hope your body re-adjusts quickly and you sleep better.Clearing the junk to travel light

Ahhhh just lost a long reply to the thread.
Sq you can set up a restricted access account, which myself and my son have. You just go into privacy settings and set it non public and only show posts to certain people. Just click hide info in profile settings. Its a bit fiddley but worth doing.
WC yay day shifts !!! You'll get used to them soon in a couple of months0 -
Well what a horrible day its between howling gale force winds. Torrential rain even had to put the fire on this evening.
Boys were off today they both been ill with sickness bugs.
Went out with OH and some friends who we haven't seen for ages. It was a good and went in four micro pubs and independent places. Good night
But I have made a vow never again am I strapping my anime bosom up again.
Wore a very classical cut dress, chest covered. No flesh seen, it was my friend's dress and she is the same size but slightly smaller bosom.
Wore a special bra to push them down. But my god they were so blumming painful.
Worst thing about the dress is that it highlighted my ample chest even more. I was fuming.
So jealous of ladies with smaller chests.
So that's it I am never putting my chest and body through a painful agonising experience again.
From now on comfortable clothing is the way forward, so my chest will be free and able to breathe.
Ginny your crafts are wonderful especially piggy and raggedy Ann
Lit the room up with candles and its so nice and cosy0 -

Well what lovely weather. Rain and wind, a bit chilly here tonight, but I haven't put my heating on yet.. And don't intend to.
I started work yesterday at 1pm. Did the sleep and was supposed to come home at 7 am, only, ... ( quick rant) agency staff, refused to support our lady to hydro as they don't "do " water or swimming... FGS , you stand in a lovely warm pool and walk around. So I stayed to do that., then another worker called in sick, so muggings here stayed for that shift as well. 14 hours later... I m finished.. About to go to bed, think I hear some thunder though.. So another disturbed night of sleep.. Ahh... Can I have a coffee IV ordered for the morning please...
Happy birthday Shanks.
Glad to hear medical problems are finally getting sorted.
Wonder Collie. I hate working nights.. Oh and morning and afternoons. Lol
Mrs LW just been given a bag of apples. Would your recipe work for chutney with just them? X
Ok I can't stop yawning, so off to my poor neglected bed, night all.
X CCtoday's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.
