Not been around for a wee while......:(

Monnagran - you absolutely DESERVE all the praise that you receive. You are such a wonderful, kind, supportive & wise person. We are all so grateful that you take the time to support all your friends on here too.

Burtha - Massive respect for being so calm about the way your son has been treated - what a smashing example you are to him

Love & Hugs to all in need
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • It's another name for Carlins/grey peas, very old fashioned field crop and I found them british grown in a very posh shop near DD2s home but they were only £1.99p for 500g and delicious. I'm getting some more to bring home with me this visit. They also had British Field Beans(Tic/Daffa Beans) so I'll get some of those as well, also british grown and under £2.

I was getting all excited. I thought Black Badgers were a new kind of sweetie... :(
  • OOH MrsLW, I used to love Carlins as a child. One Sunday during Lent used to be Carlin Sunday in this part of the world but I haven't seen them for years. Lucky you. And thank you for the Broad Bean Salad recipe. I do like broad beans.:)
Monnagran I can only agree with everyone else - you deserve the special thank you.
A belated thank you to replies about sewing machine. I thank what I need is one such as you describe fuddle.
I'm in the middle of a small crisis. Took down kitchen curtains this morning - a difficult job as window is over the sink & unit so had to use steps (not good) - and in process the (very old) curtain rail broke. So now I have to buy a new rail and find someone to put it up for me - as well as the money to finance this.
The day is not going well for me.
