Morning all,
Big hugs Burtha, it must be so difficult waiting!
Nutty, that sounds terrible. I hope there are safeguards for you over the next few days and weeks so that you don't have to feel constantly on edge. Great news about your DD mortgage!
Its work today and then off to the gym this evening. OH is making tea, so might try and tackle a small portion of my huge pile of ironing tonight.0 -

Hang in there BURTHA we were waiting for 2 and a half days for the Zebra child to arrive but believe me when I say that it's so very worth the wait my love, and that feeling when you hold baby for the first time will be like nothing else you've ever felt in your life, enjoy every fantabulous second of it. We're with you in the waiting pet and will be with you in the celebrating when baby arrives, Love and hugs Lyn xxx.0

Hope you're OK Nutty.
Good news about DD though!
Hang in there Burtha. Just don't do what my dad did and keep phoning the hospital, it drove me crazy!
Good luck with the Ofsted Kidcat. Our school was Ofsted-ed last week and it was a hugely busy week with county athletics finals and singing contests both evenings 10 miles away, I did feel very sorry for the teachers.0 -
morning my lovely friends, old and new and all those behind the scenes too
(((((((((((((((((nutty)))))))))))) glad you're ok
thinking of you and your family today, won't be much longer, keep occupied in the meantime (((((((((((burtha))))))))))))))
we went to a grammar school open evening yesterday, left home just after 4pm, longish drive, got lost, naughty small bite to eat at a certain burger place, arrived at school on time. home 9.30, all frazzled. DS10 has fallen in love with the school but worried about the journey (not too bad actually by public transport, just the extra cost of course) and the fact that none of his friends will probably go.
We thought we would be completely out of place - and yes there were some kids from posh private schools and their tiger mothers - but plenty seemed very ordinary like us and we actually felt more at home there than where we live. However 11+ isn't easy to pass and the marks to gain entry are set higher out of catchment so guesstimating DS's chances are low but luck may be on our side.
sorry for long ramble, it was a big deal for us yesterday
been trying to get through to school holiday activity booking line for past hour and know once I get through all DS7's fav choices will have gone. fingers crossed
need to whizz round quickly and then off to a friends to catch up and do some research together on all the other selective secondary schools. this is my project for this week
hugs to all, back later

Nutty hope all is ok today and that you are feeling more secure.
Burtha - babies come inn their own sweet time and will not be rushed it seems
SQ - if you feel at home and DS wants to go there its worth trying, how a school feels is very important.
Have managed the gym today which is good but I have the mother of all migraines, trying to cram all sorts of facts etc in ready for my interrogation tomorrow
DS10 really playing up at moment so I am half expecting a call to collect him so he cant cause a scene in front of inspectors today.
OH is on a two day job and left at 5.30 this morning, not expecting him back until late Thurs evening which is horrible timing as DD19 is out at 7am in the morning for her big trip!!
I have no idea when I can fit the interrogation in considering DS16 has appointments tomorrow as well.
In would appear life is just determined to throw everything it can at me tomorrow just to see me fail!0 -
Nutty sending hugs, hope you are ok today and well done for your Dd getting the mortgage sorted.
Sq can totally understand how important yesterday was for you - the right school shapes a childs life.
Kidcat, just wish I could help somehow, you really get it all piled on you hunny. One day you will get a peaceful day and wont know what to do with it!
All quiet here, OH sleepy as he has had a few bad days, but I have plenty to keep me busy. The veggies are growing fast and I keep going to look at them. I have strong roots on everything this year, probably because the weather has been good so am looking forward to a bumper harvest. I love popping out for a strawberry every morning and hoping for lots more plants next year as I have a lot of runners and then I can actually make something instead of just having them as treats for me and DGs.Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0
