Don't distract Monna, Fuddle!! She's distracted enough :D

Our puddy cat brought us a present yesterday morning: an elephant hawk moth, which she brought in very carefully through her new (chip-operated so no parties!) cat flap and placed on the floor, dead as a dodo. Terribly pretty though, all pink & orange!

    Evening all,

Have just finished a very nice tea--made this:

    http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/587986

It used the new potatoes and radishes from the supersix and we needed spinach for another recipe this week. Next time I'll use green beans instead of asparagus--we love asparagus but its hardly MS and I think the green beans would do just as well. I certainly used far more radishes and spinach than asked and far less asparagus. My goats cheese melted quite a lot so it was nice and creamy. I didn't follow the given amounts, so I've no idea how ours measured up but we mostly polished it off between the two of us.

Also managed to get a chocolate loaf cake in while the oven was on, so have that to look forward to in a bit.

The Cake thanks for the suggestion to look on the shabby chic thread. There are some lovely projects on there and lots of knowledge. I'll definitely be popping in when I'm ready to get started. Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics as well.

Nutty Thanks again for the heads up on the Aldi vouchers. I thought I'd missed it last week and was a bit put out with myself as we were slightly over budget on the shop, so it will be very welcome this week. Did you ever find a table and chairs for your mum's garden?

Mrs LW I don't think I ever mentioned how much I enjoyed seeing the photos of Pushkin.

Nutty thanks for the voucher heads up - they have a badminton set and a firepit I came very close to buying today, but remembering the voucher was due I am waiting until Thursday!

Meeting at school went ok regarding the issues, however the money issue is still not resolved.
And worse we have been notified we will be Ofsteded tomorrow and I face a grilling from the inspectors :) Have over 50 documents open and am trying to absorb them all :)

Monna good luck with the final magazine :)

Burtha fingers crossed you will know some good news very soon x

Had a busy and hard day at work yesterday, for the first time ever I was truly scared by a customer making a threat to hurt me. I rang our live security, and they monitored the shop. OH had to come into town to escort me to my car. Ive worked there for over 4 years now and its the first time I have felt truly scared for my life.

DD tv has decided to not switch on anymore, it is the old one from the lounge. So I expect we will be trecking off to Mr t on Friday night so see what non branded items they have. Any problems and they always sort it very quickly.

DD and her fianc! received confirmation that they have got the mortgage sorted now, after the withdrawal 2 weeks ago and the melt down DD had. My mum has offered her £5000 deposit and that means they can get the house. My dad had left her some money in the will, but it was only allowed to be used for a home or business. She is one very lucky lady, it nice they have finally got some good news. They both work lots of hours, DD had an operation for scoliosis 6 years ago, which has made her life better but she is often in pain. sciatica is now in both hips but she still works as a beautician. I have lovely nails because of her!!!

Looks nice and sunny outside today, off to work now but I will be home just after 2pm. Yay cuppa in the garden.

    take care all x
