That's the thing with babies you can have the worse night ever but the next day all is well. Needles always caused no end of grief for my lot. One got admitted for reaction which turned out to be something else entirely. Thank goodness for calpol I say. So glad all is well. I imagine a visit from Oma may still be very welcome though :)

Glad Zebra and Madame are felling better.

Welcome to the gang "twoblackcats" - your picnic sounds fab.

DD2 had a wobble over her revision for tomorrows history exam so I dragged her out for a lovely walk - we moo'd at cows, baaa'd at sheep, oinked a the piggies and ran away from some over enthusiastic geese....we visited a very hidden away church in the outskirts of the village and planned her fictional wedding (marmite sarnies and lots of bunting - of course). When we came back she hopped in the shower and got straight back to her books, all refreshed in body and mind.

We were feeling so priviliged to live in such a beautiful place and have so much nature on our doorstep. Simple things eh?

Pooky yes we are trying to juggle ds16 revising with managing his anxiety its a balancing act. Your walk sounds ideal.
I am trying to persuade ds16 to go swimming while I take dd8 swimming lessons tomorrow.

Monna, so glad you had a good time but bloomin typical that theres a crisis as soon as you get back:(

MrsLW glad to hear little man is more settled today, babies do that dont they, wear everyone to a frazzle then remind you why they are so wonderful. A crying or grizzling baby breaks your heart and sucks your energy away. Sounds like your daughter has a good un' there, nothing better than a simple walk and a coffee whilst chatting and gazing in adoration at your tiny blessing.

Dgs has guessed his Grandma is naughty sometimes. Yesterday he had a mouth full of juice and was contemplating the sensation when I poked his cheeks and showered us with it - he said 'what are you doing Grandma' and fell over laughing at me. To see him developing like this is amazing.

To those with children struggling with revision and life I send muchos hugs and kidcat am free to come over and thump your hubby for you, cos he sure needs it xxx

2blackcats welcome and well done on a lovely picnic. We dont always get it right here and sometimes we do buy stuff but its such a pleasure to get it right. Im just packing our picnic for hospital tomorrow, certainly dont want to buy plastic sandwiches and if I dont eat I will get a migraine. Its going to be a long day of waiting about so have to pack my crochet, pad and book too.

    Morning all,

Welcome twoblackcats! Sounds like a lovely job on the picnic.

Pooky that is a wonderful idea, I might do it for xmas so I have time to borrow some of their toys to get an idea of scale. Hester's juggling balls sound great for when they're a bit older. I'm keeping a file of ideas for HM presents for them--the first and second year are always the hardest although I suspect it might get difficult again when they hit secondary school.

Mrs. LW, I'l pleased to hear that Zebra and his parents were a bit brighter. It must be difficult to know when to lend a hand and when to step back but I've no doubt your managing it marvellously.

Must admit I'm a bit relieved that half term is over. Although it is nice having OH around, we spend far more money when he isn't at work. Some of it is warranted as we tend to put things off till we have more time, but some of it is just because he has the free time to sit around and think of what he fancies. Nonetheless we did very well with the shop yesterday--replenished a few things and still stayed under budget thanks to the Aldi vouchers. We also made a few money saving resolutions when we did this month's budget and both feel quite positive about them.

Right, I'd best get down to it. Princess, hope things are ok with you, pop in when you get a chance.x

Ginny Thank you I will bear it in mind :) Hope your hospital visit goes smoothly.

SQ we always have first day back issues too, this time I will get it over two days as ds16 is today and then ds10 is tomorrow. Hope you managed to get them both out on time.

So tired today having been up most of night with a pain but I don't know where. I can't decide if it's my ear resonating into my jaw or my jaw into my ear. Obviously it makes a difference whether I see a dentist or doctor so need to decide quick :)

Could be muscular kidcat - I get pain that feels like horrendous toothache when I'm stressed. Massage (if you can find someone prepared to work on your neck/head/jaw) helps, but generally I have to deal with the stress as well.
