nuttyp I'm glad you're going for the promotion. I reckon you'd be a great manager :)

Possession - Your fridge must be driving you bats. It might be worth asking on the "In My House" board - I wouldn't be surprised if someone out there knows what's causing the beeping and how to fix it.

wondercollie -Glad Mr collie is feeling better, bless him. i did giggle at the idea of the dogtor scratching you behind the ears :rotfl: That's great news about your son too :)

Chilly and damp here again today, but looks as if it might improve slightly after the weekend (typically).

I bought some new trousers this week from my favourite shop; they fit well, but as per usual with their trousers they are about 2 inches too long for me and I'm not sure I can see well enough to do the stitching as I'm developing cataracts. I may have to enlist DS's help, as he made such a good job of mending his jeans that he proudly put a pic on his FB page :D At least they can be machine-stitched, rather than having to hem them by hand.

Possession my friend had similar with her fridge last year. It was a thermostat issue as far as I remember. Took her six engineer visits etc before they eventually solved it.

Nutty hope you get the job

Back later am mid migraine and have woman out to assess us for grant to pay for specialist alarm system for DS10.

Kidcat I think it's a thermostat issue too, as the temp display visibly changes between 14 and 25 degrees in seconds which can't be right. But the engineer witnessed that on Thursday and did some kind of self-test and said nothing was showing as wrong. He's supposed to call me on Monday after he's seen a service manual. Grrrrr.

Possession am slightly confused at the service manual comment surely he should have that with him or at least online?

Well we had our visit and she thinks we will qualify. It will make a huge difference to know that if DS10 managed to pick the locks again an alarm would sound for me to know.

Still have vile migraine even after a two hour sleep. Going to need to take the pain meds I think which I wanted to avoid if possible.

Wow it's so quiet here today.

Hope your migraine shifts soon Kidkat - I don't suffer them often but when I do it's sleep until it's gone or nothing touches it. Great news about the grant.
