Back to the paranormal stuff possibly from earlier today, I swear that sometimes I can hear SickDog jumping off my bed which was one of her games she played, but she's been gone 5 months. I must be going mad, lack of sleep!Spend less now, work less later.0

Oh Stilty very clever - scatalogical :rotfl: I read the rest wrong, I thought you were finishing your module so you could run away with your tutor !
I got up this morning to find the kitchen fairies had visited :j:jWell my Mum stayed the night, got up before me and cleaned up, washed up etc but when we got back from taking her home I found the washing rack was empty ?? but no pile of clean washing, can only think I emptied it myself yesterday - blonde moment?Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
Do you want to send your mum down here Ginny? I could really do with a hand housework wise - I just can't find the time at the moment. I've no idea how people manage to work full time and get it all done.
Stilty - What's your degree in? Still enjoying your SC then?"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
*joins the queue for a visit from Ginnys mum*
Stilty I'll join you for a guilty YAY too my lot are all back at work etc tomorrow just me and DS2 left I'm absolutely cream crackered from all the extra jobs OH found me to do while he was off,I'm sure it was supposed to work the other way round?????
I love having all my lot home too but god they're hard work at times!
We love them really
Got some bits out of my exploding freezers to cook up tomorrow and doing a fat bit of beef in the slow oven.Just read a fab tip on another thread for doing individual frittata for pack ups in muffin tins what a clever idea! Never would have crossed my addled brain that one.
Need to do some banana bread as I've run out *horrors* and the nanas will be walking out the kitchen of their own accord if I leave them much longer!!0 -
Had a lovely quiet weekend, it was sunny and warm!
Mr. Collie says thank you all for the good wishes. His dogtor called this morning to check on him. Explained that the twice a day dose of meds were too much for his tummy and that we are giving the meds four times instead. Dogtor said no trip to the dog spa for another week and to keep brushing him at home. Collies can have a hard time with many drugs, so they are a bit princess when under the weather.
Spouse went to Vancouver for Easter and is having a great time with his family.
I went down with a huge cold last week. So sick Collie and me lay in bed together feeling sorry for ourselves. I was lucky, a coworker volunteered to cover my Saturday night shift, so I could stay home. It worked out well. She got some overtime (which she hardly ever gets) and I got to sleep.
It's supposed to pour down tomorrow, so I have number one son checking the rain gutters.
I'm feeling very happy, at $rama (our version of Poundland) I found all sorts of Revlon nailpolish for $2 instead of $8 that the drugstore costs.
Regards to all.0 -
Glad to hear the dentist appointment went well FairyP. I had to cancel my last checkup several months ago as one DS was ill and somehow didn't rebook
Yes you're right DH was looking after me and I am appreciative (honestly I am!), just thinking of our budgets as ever as that's my remit. To be fair he is overwhelmed with workloads, the whole restructing/possible redundancy on-going saga and college stuff including another exam next week and a 1st draft of his project to hand on Thursday. One of my tasks tomorrow will be proofreading for him. We will both breathe a big sigh of relief when the course finishes and hopefully an even bigger one if DH gets to keep some sort of job.
Stilty, D&DD and anyone else with people big and small back to work/college/school a YAY is allowed but don't feel guilty!
DH is back to work tomorrow and hopefully both children will be at school without problems. I will miss them tons BUT also be able to get back into some sort of routine - have a very long list of tasks that I have been parking up over the school hols and also will make some time to catch up with some friends, one in particular needs a lot of tlc. Oh and the gym.... nuff said...
sorry didn't mean to ramble on, time for bed I think. My two have both had trouble getting off especially DS7 who has been very unsettled today poor kid and I am feeling pretty pooped now.

Stiltwalker - well done on nearly completing your degree, 5/6ths when this module is finished wow!! You have done/are doing brilliantly - what an inspiration especially with all your other commitments.

Ginny - I'm quite fond of DH really, wouldn't want to trade him in!
Pooky - I'm doing Childhood and youth studies BA hons with the OU - was lucky enough to get started before the funding changed so on a vey MSE note (as we get benefits) very lucky to be getting one of the last free degrees as getting grants to pay for fees. DH also got started in time and he is doing a history degree so it can be a bit mental in our house if essays end up due in at the same time. And yes, the SC is becoming a firm favourite - just starting to worry in case we get a good summer and don't fancy stew type meals - lol!
D&DD - glad it's not just me!
SQ - aww, cheers - I just keep telling myself it could be more manic - I could be trying to work as well!! I'm really hoping I can get a grade 2 pass in this one as then I'll have the right grades at the right levels for a 2:1 already so I can just kick back on my last module as all I'll need is a pass and the forum stuff is starting to take more of my time so could use the lack of pressure.0 -
Stiltwalker you are so lucky re the financing of your and hubbies degrees. I'm four courses short of my history degrees and spent $6500 on just the courses in the last five years. The books were probably another $3K. I can write some of it off on my taxes but it's still out of pocket.
I'll never graduate because the last four courses are all sciences. They won't give me credit for my nursing courses and I've just dug my heels in over doing four Biology courses.0 -
