Morning all! The sun't trying to decide whether to come out, here in SE London. Or NE Kent, as my OH insists it is.
Sheila - So glad they finally sorted care for your DH while you have your op. My DGS had a similar op a few months ago and his quality of life is so much better because it's much easier to breathe.
Possession - Oh dear :-( I hope everyone is all better very soon!
Ginnyknit -So glad your DH has managed to eat a meal again. I sympathise about being bored - my DH is a lot more mobile than yours but I still get bored as I'd like to get out and about a lot more than we can manage. Still, at least he is able to go out so I shouldn't complain.
PIPPI -- I love your blog! Please keep on posting here if you have time!0 -

CC, I'm so sorry to intrude, I only got here because of Pippi, but I know your name from the preparedness thread on OS. I popped back on to read up the thread, and found your beautiful, heartbreaking post about your lovely OH. Words fail me, but I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what you've been through all this time. I'm glad his release was so peaceful, and I hope you gain some solace from that.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Oh CC I too am so sorry for your loss but thankful your DH is no longer in pain and flying free as a bird. He knew he was surrounded by love and I want you to know you are surrounded by love from your friends here.
There will be tough times ahead, but you have dealt so well with what life has dealt you. I am sure family and friends will be helping you at this difficult time, but remember we are here if you want to "talk".
I send much love to you.

CC, what mixed emotions, in tears of grief at your loss and tears of relief that your darling DH's suffering has now ended.
That was a tough climb, I am so grateful that his passing was peaceful.
