PIC I don't mind at all you asking. We sold lots of clothes, mainly for 50p and £1 each. TBH I am just glad to get some space. dvds were selling well and curtains, and pictures.

I need to do at least another 2 maybe 3 to clear out. We probably annoy a lot of the other sellers as we just sell to get rid, not as a business. Anything I think may make quite a bit we ebay or put on the local selling page on facebook. We sold oleg the other day for £25, so it made the house insurance down to £35.

I wish we had mid week bootfairs here. Although I've sold all but one thing I'd listed on the local FB site, just sorted a few more bits to go on. DH sorted through his DVDs and DD1 took him to town to trade them in, £53 store credit for a carrier bag of stuff he's watched seemed like a good deal (he buys them in the summer at bootfairs for 50p/£1 to watch over the winter).

Our new roof is on, when they came to quote only part of it was covered by warranty so we still had a hefty chunk to pay to have it all sorted but when they stripped it back it was clear that it was bad workmanship to start with, the big boss came down yesterday, apologised and said we have nothing to pay :) result! Then the council tax bill came in :( - ho hum. I normally pay it in full at the beginning of the year so I know it's done and over with, the roofing money covers it so my savings can stay put for now! Yay.

Suppose I'd better start some dinner....not sure when DD2 will be home and DD1 is working so needs to be something flexible time wise.....wonder if everyone fancies beans on toast....I'm in a bit of a "CBA" mood.

Monnagran the poem is beautiful. :)

Princess once you start to resent all that debt brings you won't ever want to buy into the whole sorry mess again, I'm sure of that. Have strength in your own ability and confidence in the skills that you have learned will carry you through without even thinking about it :);)

Well today is mince cobbler day so that means home made cheese scones. I'm getting better each time I do them. :)

Saw in Asd* mag a different take on potatoes (probably nothing new but different to me!) spread scored new potatoes with butter and a bit oil then roast in the oven. A couple of potatoes each means I can be frugal with how many I'm using.

Weather taking a turn for the worst so our weekend trip to Bath is off. We'll be looking into somewhere national trust to visit with raincoat and wellies with picnic to eat in the car after our adventure. I think I'll do a quiche. Only 2 hours work tomorrow after 3 full days so will have time. Girls want to make fairy cakes so we'll do that too.

Hello all hope your all well.

I'll try and catch up with you all.

OH is away tonight with works so decided to read in bed.
We've had a very tough week in the mad house. Let's just say if I ever see the police again i'll scream. The missing person team were great. Ended up signing for a new phone contract after mine was stolen.
Went and visited a friend yesterday, her children were asking why I hadn't so said I had been poorly. My friend was very concerned luckily the marks on my neck have calmed down. Bruises have started changing so I'm one happy bunny. oh is on the war path with my family and is fuming that I haven't pressed charges.

My dad came over tonight so pleased ludo with him and boys. Kids loved it monopoly is on the cards for next time.

Hope your all lits of hugs and jelly tots hmmmm toffee dabs hmmmmm

    Yes hope you're alright Kez.
  • Morning everyone.

    Huge rant coming over!

    FAMILIES! WHO WOULD HAVE THEM.

For us, If it isn’t one side, it’s the other. Its getting beyond a joke now. I don’t know why but I always seem to be too close to the people we’re meant to love & protect the most. But its all one sided. Then I end up feeling depressed, angry, and volatile.

I really have no idea how to change this. In fact, It makes me nervous standing up for myself because I know that some people can be really nasty & spiteful.

Little things that I’m struggling with:-

*We’re expected to drop EVERYTHING for other people

    * Our lives are dictated by family, IE: They will plan things that we HAVE to do, If we don’t we’re a let down.

*We’re expected to “be loaded” was the term used just last night.

    * Constantly asked about our income and questioned why I can never give money to other family members.

I understand the most easiest answer from you all is: Why put up with it? But for so long, We have let people do this to us, That now, Its become a way of life. Yet, Deep down, Its crushing me. Its causing arguments between OH and I. Because we are questioned about his wages all the time. He believes that it’s a private matter (Which I agree with) But can never stand up for myself, So I give in.

Sorry for piling all this on you all. But I have no one to speak to other than a handful of family members who are the opposite of the above and they all cut ties and cant understand why we haven’t.

Anyways, Got our property check in 10 minutes so I better go and sort myself out.
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy
