Yes we are all different in how we do how housework etc, but this is what ive always done with the dishcloth....

I only ever have one on the go at one time, usually its a morning thing with me , after ive washed up breakfast dishes , I always jif and bleach the sink and bowl , dry sink and taps with kitchen roll, then put a little bleach in the bowl and dish cloth with hot water , leave it in there for a hour or two , that way you never get a dirty smelly dish cloth , it always keeps clean......
I know im a fussy mare , always have been , but thats me ........If you do it everyday it only takes a few minuets .....................Sheila

    Thanks Sheila-good tip.
The problem is that I think someone has tried to clean the cooker/oven and floor with some of them-
So once the darker coloured have come out they will be used as floor cloths.
I currently have them boiling in bleach
I put the better ones in first and they have come out like new!
I promise I will try to implement your every day method Sheila-it sounds like it is a lot quicker and easier than what I am doing at the moment. :)

I sell all my eggs at the door, people love free range eggs.......:D..Weve got a lady who grows all her own plants , really good qaulity plants ,perennials , shrubs , veg plants etc, very much cheaper than garden centres a few miles from me, I always give her loads of plastic pots, and she gives me egg boxes:D........

WMF....Where did you live in Suffolk.?, if you dont mind me asking .........
North Suffolk. Beautiful area. Loved going up into North Norfolk as well - it was like having a holiday as the houses and scenery were a bit different - lots of flint. I lived in Suffolk for nearly 20 years and moved back North nearly 4 years ago now. Haven't been back to Suffolk yet. Think I might be sad to see my house in its new hands. Having said that, though, I love being back up here.
Windy here today. I've just been round the park with doggie and all dogs are excitable as anything with the wind in their tails.
I loved listening to the rustling of the trees. I have the windows open and am sitting here listening.
On my own for tea tonight and can't be bothered making anything. Think I'll have Weetabix.

 Gosh, I hope not! My weight is a secret between me, the doctors and GCHQ. I figure as long as my beam end doesn't exist in more than one postcode at once, I'm good.

    Morning everyone :j

Jem - hope FIL will be OK x

On the subject of honey, it has been used to treat MRSA sufferers so it is good for wounds.

Bees are a bit of a cause of mine atm as I am trying to find a way of supporting beekeepers. It's in its very early stages so far though. Honey bees are really suffering with colony collapse especially in the countryside. Interestingly urban hives are doing really well because there is more food available.

Sorry ive done two posts , but I dont know how to put two different posts together...:o..................

On to bees , im really worried about them too, but I have noticed the past 2 weeks with more flowers out and more sunshine they are coming out ........Ive planted since moving here, heathers, lavandulas, valerian, foxgloves, hollyhocks, buddleijas , salvias, catmint, verbena bonierensis, lupins , honeysuckles , sunflowers, and loads of wild plants , my garden is is a hive now ....:D...

Ive got ivy growing up every post , shed , arch etc , but I do keep it trimmed , bees and all soprts of insects love the berries on the ivy.......:D

If everyone done a little something in their garden it would be the way forward in helping them, alot of my plants have self seeded , so it doesnt have to cost a fortune ..........Sheila ....

I leave a small part of my garden to grow wild flowers and my apple tree is there, the bees pollinate my tree and they are welcome to the flowers. Good all round :)

    Evening all

I'm feeling all lovely and tired and happy. Been out for a fab day at a local wildlife safari\zoo place - it was just wonderful - helpful staff, lovely weather and hardly a soul around. Saw almost all the animals and even got a sneaky trip in to the Tapier enclosure for a stroke (having a 17 year old daughter in tow who has no shame in chatting to the 20'something keeper helps) Who knew tapiers were so big and muscley but also so soft! The staff were amazing with DH and once we'd done one section a minibus was waiting to take him back to a "non-hilly" area as his whizzy wheels wouldn't have coped with the hill. We've brought a yearly pass so we can visit as much as we like - it's only 10 minutes from home so well worth it. I shall be firing off an email of praise to the bosses tomorrow - I don't think I've been so impressed with customer service for years.

Glad to hear the baby is ok - they kept telling me I was going to have a tiddler but she turned out to be 8.7lbs - hardly "tiddly"

My dishcloth goes in the wash every night - start a new one every morning. They all go through a normal wash and every month or so I fish them all out for a bleach wash.

What else was I going to mention? ........ Oh university - DD1 was insistant that she was going to look at Edinburough.....we tried pointing out the practicalities but she wouldn't listen. She went to book a "visit" and looked at train and air fare prices and changed her mind quite quickly. Shes now looking at Greenwich, nice and easy to get to from here. I shall go up to look with her as otherwise she will just spend her time looking at boys - she's all hormones at the moment (mind you she does have good taste too!)

Really pleased you had a good day Pooky, you can't beat good customer service and customer praise goes a long way when you are 'the face' of a company.

Edinburgh can be expensive, and it sounds like it's a long way away. If she did fancy Scotland then Stirling has a beautiful campus though I suppose it depends upon what your DD1 wants to study.

Looks as though we are all reasonably happy compared to earlier and that pleases me...

Its a lovely sunny evening here but no excuse to go out, I haven't eaten much but enjoyed what I have had. Rediscovering simple food and eating items not eaten in years...

It was a good idea having that fruit bowl close at hand.

Just had a bowl of yogurt with sliced apple, pear and banana. I'd forgotten how nice pears are.

Later I'm thinking vegetables, potato wedges and perhaps some sliced ham.

Already planning what to take on Saturday for my picnic...thinking fruit salad or strawberries with yogurt or cream(should be ok as I am taking the cool bag)I was thinking of salad rolls but may take a salad.

A small flask of water for tea or coffee and if I can get away with it a couple of small lagers...I have my rug and a cushion. I'm set...oh and if the battery holds out a camera for photo's and video's of the night.

A baseball hat to protect my head and I may invest in sun lotion unless I find a shaded location.

Thinking of visiting a few more local parks I haven't seen and having a picnic during what remains of Summer even on a bus I can be there within an hour.

Oh and I am only 4lbs off my target of 9st so that's good.

Just chilling, listening to easy music via the internet and radio...
