Easyjet rip-off!

A good result, but....
a) It wasn't a 'rip off'
b) Threatening to contact the CAA and BBC Watchdog is quite funny!0 -
Hopefully the OP has contacted Watchdog to tell them they can stop investigating

I know that this thread is never a year old but I thought I would warn people what happens when you try to redeem a price promise voucher.
Some months ago a flight I booked was reduced in price by £75 so I phoned up to claim a voucher. No problem getting the voucher.
Today I phoned up to book some flights using the voucher. The flights online were £210 but booking the same flights by phone the price was £269 add on a £15 admin fee and the cost to me after using the voucher (£75) was £209! I expected to have to pay an admin fee for phone booking but did not expect the higher initial price. So to my mind the price promise was worthless.[0 -

I phoned easyJet to redeem a price promise voucher. The price online was £120. I was quoted £150 but insisted I should not be charged more than £120 and they immediately agreed.0 -

I tried that but he was equally insistent that I had to pay the phone price so I refused to go ahead with the booking.[0 -
Further update.
I got in touch with the Easyjet Facebook Team who confirmed that if you have a voucher you should be charged the online price and not the phone price and that there should be no admin fee charged.
They confirmed this in an email so I phoned back to make the booking. This time the agent I spoke to was fully aware of the rule and I was able to make the booking using the voucher.[0 -

Good for you persisting.
And wouldn't it be nice if easyJet were to make life simple and allow customers to redeem such a voucher online?0
