Cancelling Sky and then rejoining?

I renewed it last month.............As I said a call from their HQ. As someone else stated the 18 month thing is bogus or you were conned..Moneyineptitude wrote: »Depends how long ago you last had this deal renewed, expect the next one (should you get one) to require an eighteen month extension on your contract.
Regardless, I fail to see what this has to do with cancelling Sky and then re-joining?
The point is a retentions department wont see the point in that or want to do it so will offer a deal......................common sense comes into it, you wont get a good deal if you can't haggle......or see the pointThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. In answer to the OP, go for it.
You could probably use the same account number. I would think they only check the name and address, possibly some other details as potentially Mr Smith 1 could move into a house and have sky, then move out where Mr Smith 2 moves in, so they'd have to know he was different. Bank account numbers won't be the way they distinguish between customers.0 -
cancel then take up the 50% off codes. However you could be paying for 2 subscriptions until the end!0

I'm thinking of the above quote
Current in my name and cancel.
And order the new with 50% off with wife name.
I don't mind paying the extra one month during cancellation, but could sky turn round and not install the new?
Just tried to ring to say if they could match and was told no and only for 6 months and not at 50% off0 -
Yes if they discover your fraud. IIRC one of statement/questions on opening a new account is that noone in the household has recently (within the last 12 months) held an account.advice_please wrote: »I'm thinking of the above quote
