Sorry , I got confused and thought that you had also received letters from a company called Debt Recovery Plus (DRP) .
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

That's ok. No I've heard nothing at all since the ticket was put on my car, around 18th June. Hearing nothing is a bit worrying but I guess there is a timescale after which they can't do anything.

I don't know whether anyone who has gone through the recommended process on this forum has had a CCJ - surely not possible because as you said, if it came to that this can be avoided by just paying.

Oh please - it can be avoided by simply doing a couple of appeals when you get the first letter. Trust us, we know what we are doing.

The person who got the CCJ had ignored the fake PCN and letters and then had moved - and even now he can get the judgment rescinded of course.

Your case is COMPLETELY different and you WILL WIN at POPLA.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You have heard nothing because they are obliged to wait 28 days for you to respond to the litter they stuck to your car. Then they will need to get your details from DVLA (which will cost them £2.50, which is nice because that's more money they will not be getting back), and then write to you.

So you will not be hearing from them for a couple of weeks yet.

Great, I feel reassured, thanks. Just wanted to make sure!

I seem to have lost the parking ticket that I bought on the day - the one that was invalid. I suppose it won't matter if I can't find it as the whole charge from the co. is illegal anyway. I'll report back when/if I get a letter.:)

    Still nothing...:D
  • Well I very much doubt I'm going to hear from them now - "ticket" issued mid June..is there a time limit? Thanks.:D
  • Whooah! Spoke too soon. Letter from Debt Recover Plus Ltd arrived today.. Demands payment of £155 by 23rd Sepmember - or court action will be ' recommended'... So what now? Sending this expenslively from my phone as laptop in for repair:-(. Thanks. Will be online at work so grateful for advice. Is this typical letter/ company?
  • Ps im panicking a bit. They claim to have written to ne before but all I had was " ticket" on windscreen..it mentions Protection of Freedoms Act..please advise as I did take the risk not to pay based on this forum. Im sure it's fine but thanks for your help!
  • Looks like im too late to do popla appeal ? V unfair as I heard nothing since the rivet - went straight to debt collector. I need help urgently as cannot afford to get Ccj. Will just pay it tomorrow if no advice on here. So many people were keen to urge me not to pay 80 fine so im now left with facing worse.
