Back again. Just got my citifinancial bill they are going to put my interest rate up to 29.9% and they are not budging so far. However a supervisor will ring me today and i shall plead my case.
Had to ring EDF again as sent me a revised bill saying that payments now need to go up to £55 a month as we are in debit to them. (yes we are by 36p) Hopefully that is now sorted-its quite funny i guess but im all over the place and kind of take each little thing as a personal attack.
I am going to ring capital one and ask for an increase to transfer some of my citifinancial debt over.
I am being positive today and i have wrote to barclaycard asking for money back and i may now enter the court case against citifinancial. Am also going to redo my SOA.
Citifinancial is my challenge to clear asap.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying positive.

So so tired today- had a late finish at work and ofcourse the kids got up early so i went back to bed whilst they at playgroup. Am now worried how im going to manage next week as i have got 3 mornings working at playgroup- Ill have to stay focused on payday.
Well i did my SOA again yesterday with a friend and it still looks dire-How on earth have i been maintaining payments i do not know. Im sure its due to reclaimed charges and my birthday money.
I have made a decision as regards my savings. I am ebaying like crazy next weekend and am going to court at end of july so if i earn enough through ebay to maintain my mins for july-i am covered for june. I will wait for result of court cse before cashing them in and if not then i am going to cash it in and start a new savings scheme at £20 a month.

Quite productive yesterday and courtcase logged against citi for just over £600 and barclaycard charges were more than i thought at £285 so am keeping my fingers crossed.

I feel like a broken record at the moment- am i the only person who's thoughts are just totally crammed with how they are going to sort things?

Been a long long week and such an emotional rollarcoaster i seem to be riding. I have been considering going to see the doctor - see if there is anything i can use to make me less tired which will sort mood swings.
Went out last night again courtesy of a friend and i feel a bit like a charity case which i dont want to be. Another friend wants to take me out to celebrate her £700 bank charge claim-citing the reaon that she wouldnt have claimed if i hadnt persueded her- but thats not the point.
My OH thinks im lying and going out pending lots of money that i cant afford so had a big row about that yesterday.
I seem to be in a no win situation.
However i am going to prove to everyone that hard work and determination pays off- not sure how yet but i will.
Got my capital one bill and realised that i am still paying for payment protection so letter going 1st thing to cancel (how did i miss that?)
Positive things this week- Got onfirmation letter from EDF that payments will not be increased.
Got confirmation of reduction in secured loan rate and payments for next 2 years.(OH made me buy him a curry before he'd sign though)
Have applied for another credit card- i checked with credit scoring before i aplied so am hopeful. ive t wait 7-10 days for a response. Its with mbna and its 12mths 0% on transfers so need to get as much off my citi card as poss.(they didnt ring me back)
I have made myself a promise to have no tears this week-the kids keep asking why mummy is upset and thats not right as i should be a good role model.
    Hope everyone doing well.

    Afteroon Shamu,

I have just been catching up on your thread. You should be so pround of yourself for all the positive actions you have been taking, each post reads so positive so it just goes to show the turn around in you from a few weeks back! Well done! Sorry not been posting for a while, I too have been going through a down period, you know when nothing seems to work out the way you plan?? But, I am getting over it and am intending on some serious sorting this week of paperwork and life in general! A late spring clean shall we say!

Re doctors, have you thought about taking herbal calms tablets? You can get them over the counter in boots or any chemist I think. I suffered with panick attacks for a while and was very reluctant to go onto any medication so docs suggested I at least take these, they did help, and I carried out a lot of reading etc on panick attacks and overcome it myself - took a while though.

Better get back to work, take care xx

    Hi Shamu

Just caught up on your thread about how you got in debt... Have you thought about asking for a backdated refund on your payment protection if they all refused to pay out due to your condition. I would seriously consider it. This happened to my mum, she claimed they refused and she got her premiums refunded. (she had to go through the insurance ombudsman)

Just wanted to wish you luck on your journey and hope things pick up for you soon...

Sammy, Can i do that? It does say that pregnancy related conditions aren't covered in the ts&cs. I had a pulmony embolism which is generally due to pregnancy however mine was exceptionally large and i didnt die which the consultant said meant that it wasnt caused by the pregnancy and had to have built up over time. Halifax accepted this. It was nearly 4 years ago now could i seriously claim it back?

Well i plucked up courage to ask my mum about the loan my dad gave me. I'm paying him £125 a mth on what should be a £7500 loan yet ive only had £7000. So i have mentioned it and my dad shall ring me tonight.
So that will either be £25 saved on repayments or £500 towards a bill.
My mum has put my name down to deal with both their financial affairs when they are dead or unable as she says shes dead proud of the way im handling things.
Really made me cry as me and my mum aren't at all close and she has never ever ever said she proud of anything ive done.
Ive joined in the £1000 in 2 months challenge which i hope is the motivation required to get me earning lots again.
Am still so very tired but am now feeling so much more positive. With any luck i should have bank charges coming my way very soon.
Thanks for all your continued support.

Sorting It- I hope you've made a start on your late spring clean? Im off to Holland and barrett now to find the magic tablets.

    Hi Shamu,

I hope your trip was successful! Sounds like you are really going for it now - sometimes that is half the battle - knowing you are actually doing something proactive can make things all the better. I am sure you are going to see some great successes over the next few months!

The spring cleaning has started, I have sat down and sorted through most of my post - sometimes not keeping on top of that can get you down. So, next job is updating my SOA and going from there.

The ex decided to pay up 2 weeks late only to find out later he has been in Thailand enjoying himself - makes me mad! So I am going to be brave and once he is back I will arrange to meet him and tell him its not on and he HAS to pay the full amount back asap - let some other mug deal with him and his debts.

Anyway must get back to work! xx

p.s did reply to PM - although not sure I did it right as not done it before!
