That's great news a real chance for you to be well on your way to sorting things. I would suggest sitting down for a few hours and working out a plan to stick to until christmas - using the money you would have been paying your day. I suppose the main thing is to use the money you would have paid your dad to clear debts and nothing else, that way you will be further on in clearing your debts and you won't feel quilty. I am sure that your mum and dad only want the best for you and are probably finding it difficult seeing you so stressed and upset. How much do you pay to your dad each month again?

I think you need to sit back and look at it all again from a fresh perspective - like a new start you have been given a chance to make a difference for a little while - make the most of it!

Re stress levels, that is something you can work on in time. I spent days and weeks stressed as you do but sometimes I have to sit back and put it into perspective as in the debt is there, its not going away and I am doing all I can to clear it.... if you think of it like that then you may not put so much pressure on yourself. You really are doing everything you can! Like I said before sit back and make a plan that you can stick too up until christmas and then review it then.

Keep us posted on what you decide and how you are feeling - keep smiling! This is a positive thing, its a break that you need and your parents WANT to help you, they love you and are just worried about you. The same as you would be if it was your children.

    Take care xxx

    Hi Sham,

I am so sorry you are having such a stressful day.

I am sure your parents are just trying to help, even if they dont go about it in the right way.

I really wish there was something I could do to help. I just want to come and give you a really big hug.

How much do you pay your parents back every month? Maybe after you have redone your SOA you could pay off a couple of whole debts off and then start paying back your mum and dad? Either that or pay them half of what you pay them now?

I hope you have managed to get some relaxation this weekend!

Morning-its is totally throwing it down here. Well went out last night and had rather a few again all but one drink paid for by my mate. We seem to have sorted our problems out at last.
Did some silly things last night tho that i am a bit embarrassed by- one was agreeing to a dance with the sgt for the city centre. know him well as liase about about anti social behaviour etc. Be soo embarassed next time i see him. The other things im not posting on an open forum-but i assure you they arent too bad.

Shineyhappy-thank you for your support-i really cudve done with that hug yest. I hate days like that. I havent got enough to pay off any of the debts but it does mean that the shortfall i had each month has decreased a fair bit now. which means i dont need to panic as much or rob peter to pay paul.

I am going to put it all on paper today and see what i can sort out.
Also noticed that i am still paying protection on my abbey card and i know i cancelled all these. Went through them all when i spotted one id missed so am going to follow that up.

My friend is coming round in a bit and in our hungover states we are going to get ebaying like crazy.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and heres to a positive moneymaking week.xx

Doesn't sound rubbish at all! That would explain why you mentioned that you live off of mcdonalds! I love it myself, think I would end up the size of a balloon if I worked there though, mind you just ate through half a packet of hob nobs... can you tell I am bored!!!

Good luck today, look forward to your update :-)

    Afternoon!

Hope you are ok and had a nice productive day?

I just had to log on and tell somone, if my calculations were right over lunch I think I have enough money this week to clear my Debenhams card in full!!! It's only £370 so not a massive dent considering how much I have got but its a start!!! I am going to call them tonight and make a final payment... yippee!

Now got to start on my next card with highest apr... Halifax with balance of £3327 long old road on that one as interest SO high :-(

Give us an update on how you have done today xx

That is fantasic news!! You should be pleased-esp after all the overtime that you have done.
Well my day was fairly productive but not as much has had hoped. My ebay account was still retricted so no items listed but all photos taken. Did some tidying and some laundry still tons to do but at least made a start.
Havent been paid from playgroup which is another issue i must sort but its ok as i still have my £100 overdraft that i havent even entered for the 1st time in years and i get paid from main job on thursday.
Biggest thing yesterday was that i actually felt happy and i mean really happy. The kids were good and my best mate was with me and things werent awkward and i actually forgot about things. No tears over not being paid or anything.
Got a long day today-off to pick my mum up in a bit then on to playgroup-then pick up babysitter (who i havent been able to get in touch with-so a little worried) then i am at a meeting for school- my daughter starts in sept. Then im off to work- not sure when im gonna have any dinner.
I also booked another mystery shop for a meal on sunday. My mate has also got free tickets for noddy so are taking the kids on sunday. Hes gonna get free tickets to tweenies in august aswell- but i booked us tickets to see Mica in november which has cost me £40. Just feel so so guilty taking from him all the time.
On the plus side i have lots to look forward to and he coming back tomorrow to ebay for me.
Hope you have a great day.xx
