Don't waste your time, HSE don't have anything to do with shops -- health and safety law in shops is enforced by (district) councils.
The fire service is the correct authority for this and (at least round here) they will be on the case quickly.

Difficult getting on to the Aldi FB page tonight. Might be all the pics and emoticons being uploaded to the ParkingEye posts.

No matter, gives a good excuse to shoot this thread up the pop charts.

    Bumpity bump :)

There was a case PE discontinued, I think the Prankster might blog about it as he mentioned this as a summary:

'This was the one where the appellant wanted substantial costs if they dropped the case. After some last minute grandstanding on both sides PE dropped the case.

PE initially offered to settle for £50 after being asked to by the retailer. OP refused. Then they offered a bit later (and several inches of correspondence) to settle for £100. OP pointed out they offered £50 earlier. They dropped to £75. Several more trees died as letter shot backwards and forwards. PE said they were not going to reply to any more letters. Shortly before the hearing the appellant found out the landowner witness statement was in the name of a defunct company and wrote again. PE decided to reply. They offered to settle for £30. Appellant refused. They offered to drop the case. Appellant refused unless they paid £xxx (a significant figure). They came up with a new witness statement. They offered to drop the case. Appellant ignored. They dropped the case anyway.

Phew! And that was just the edited highlights!'

Also there were cases listed for DJ Jenkins (of PE v Sharma fame) so surely he won't have let PE win them, surely must have stayed them for HHJ Moloney's decision...we don't know though.

Just a quick update about the case of Babs who got a charge from PE whilst shopping at Aldi and was being assisted off forum - PE have backed down and cancelled the charge "as a gesture of goodwill" :rotfl:

Oh dear, looks like the PE squad has persuaded Weber Shamewick to dispatch Ry Bry.

Perky will miss having his mugshot shown so frequently. Bet those fish won't be too unhappy though. And there's Plenty o' Them.
